Simple and ingenious product.

Yeah, it's yet another doodad for the kitchen, and you're wondering whether it's good and whether it'll be one of those things that you use once or twice and then toss in a drawer or cabinet and forget about it. Well you needn't worry. This product is the real deal. Easy to open and close (uses a twist lock) but keeps the produce inside fresh. Big enough to accommodate to large examples of what it is intended to hold. Ditch the plastic wrap and use these instead. Unlike a bread-maker or an ice-cream machine, these cases are effortless to use. I took a chance on the lemon, tomato and red onion ones, and I use all three regularly. Even if you weren't looking for this product (as I wasn't; just saw it on Amazon while browsing other stuff), just spring for one of these for any fruit/vegetable that you don't eat the whole of in a sitting. You'll be glad you did.

I use this everyday. I take a half of a grapefruit with me to work everyday. This is just big enough to take a half of a large grapefruit. It is dishwasher safe. The lid does not screw on very tight which is the only reason I gave this 4 stars. Otherwise, I like this cute container.

Very poor design. To open you have to grasp and wiggle open or use a knife to pry open. To close---well it does not close properly. The 2 parts that connect have a bad locking mechanism. Your garlic will be on the floor, not in the food. I hate it but returning this cheapo item is not worth the hassle. I refuse to struggle --after long experience--with any contraption that is not user friendly first time, so it is in the dump. Potential buyers are duly warned on this very bad design item.

I like it! I think that the mushrooms stay fresh longer than in a paper bag, which is my usual method. One thing--if you like really large mushrooms only a few will fit. You can get a good volume of small ones in. No slime and I think they do not dry out as fast as in the paper bag. I like having a container that will stand up in the refrigerator and is easy to find.
