Perfect vanity for our master bedroom.
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•December 20, 2023
I found a great bargain at a resale shop on a highend dresser for our master bedroom, but the black finish didn't go with the rest of my furniture. I was on the fence as to whether I would paint my existing furniture, or buy new. I saw this vanity on another site for around $400. When I searched 'black vanity set' here on Amazon, I was pretty psyched to see for less than $300, including tax and with Prime shipping. Also, it's wood, not pressed board, which surprised me in this price range. SOLD.
It arrived well packaged and in good condition. I didn't opt for any delivery upgrades so the trucking company left it on the porch, but they had handled it properly and there was no damage even to the outside carton.
It's HEAVY, so if you don't have someone to help unload, do what I did: open the carton outside and carry it in piece by piece. That's not as daunting as it sounds. The top section is assembled, with the drawers also assembled and in place. You only have to attach the legs to both the stool and vanity and secure the mirror to the vanity. The included hardware was good quality and organized, the instructions were clear. The whole process took around an hour including unboxing.
Most importantly, once assembled, it's a great looking piece. They weren't hedging about it being wood. Even the back panel that faces the wall, which I expected to be the heavy tagboard that comes on a lot of flatpack furniture, was wood. The finish is sort a matte satin and the drawer hardware is simple but elegant. The side hinges on the mirror are full piano hinges and are functional. The seat is a perfect height. The three top drawers are the perfect depth for makeup palettes and tubes-deep enough that everything fits, not so deep that it all gets stacked and muddled. The two lower drawers are good for jewelry boxes or bigger jars, or things like sunscreen that wouldn't look pretty sitting out.
The size is perfect, as is the design. It's not an overly dainty 'little girl's bedroom' piece, but has a delicate look and doesn't crowd the room. It would probably work in a larger bathroom as well.

Manufacturer dropped quality control on my shipment

Item was delivered by FedEx on time. Item was double boxed and very well protected. Shipper is OJ Commerce. Final product construction revealed several drawer slide misalignments and some missing missing hold down screws. I contacted Seller through Amazon. Seller and I agreed to an amicable settlement after I requested consideration after receiving item in defective condition. It was 'Made in Vietnam.' OJ Commerce only had part in selling and shipping product. Despite the quality assurance being poor at manufacturer in Vietnam, OJ Commerce was prompt with responses to my inquiries!
Beautiful

I love this vanity~ I can picture myself using this forever. I'm 5' 2" in my 20s and this fits me perfectly, size and personality wise. I think the desk could be big enough to be a study table even. But it's not overwhelmingly huge either. The original knobs kind of have this annoying tick tick sound when the desk shakes because they have pull able rings. You can open and close the mirrors which is nice but I probably won't be doing much. And I can see myself in three different mirrors, yay.
The box came in this massive sized packaging, big as uh, coffin? And was really, really heavy but I managed to get it through my house alone. It's pretty easy to assemble, I did most parts of it until I got to the mirror and I needed my dad to drill the holes. The legs were just twisting them on until they were tightened. The stool just had a few screws that needed to go in. And they provided an "L" shaped tool to crank it on. This vanity is beautiful, looks unique, and if you're on the fence on getting this, just buy it. I did add a lot of extra stuff to this vanity, but most of it was to protect it in the long run, and I could see myself using it forever that I wanted to add personal touches.
Extra stuff I added: I did look at what other reviewers did and added extra perks. Though the vanity itself is perfect. I added "shelf liners" to the drawers to protect them of course.
The vanity normally doesn't light up, and I had to buy LED light strips (lights thing) that was purchased on Amazon, with its AC 14V adapter (power cord thingy that included the thingy that bridges the connection from the cord thingy to light thingy) it had an adhesive backing that let me put them on either sides of the mirror.

Though the drawer knobs look perfectly fine originally, I was unsure and also ordered rose drawer knobs, also from Amazon. I have to warn you though, the screws that came with them were too long that I needed 3 ring thingys around the screw to make it a smaller screw.

I prefer my makeup in an organizer, which I also bought from Amazon. I might just use the drawers for jewelry and hair ties (and cookies)

The desk also has a desk pad protector (Amazon) to protect it from any spills, makeup. I don't recommend drinking water on this vanity or you'll ruin the wood

High quality, very satisfied

Buying furniture online can be hit or miss. I really wasn't sure if this would be quality real wood or if it would look cheap and mass produced. It looks beautiful and is very sturdy. It definitely looks like a high quality handmade piece one would expect to cost much more. I'm quite satisfied. This is one of the best furniture purchases I've made online.
