Hold up well to cow work
Emily Oelker✓ Verified Purchase•October 23, 2023
As a farm vet, I need sturdy boots that are going to last a long time in a harsh environments. I work everyday in cow manure and every visit, I'm washing and scrubbing these boots with disinfectant. They last a long time. Still easy to get on and off for the most part. Sometimes I spray armor all in the boots and it lets my keens slide in and out. I'm ordering them again so I have a back up pair just in case.

I work downtown, so I end up walking around in dress clothes in the snow each year. I've always wanted boots that go over my shoes. This is my first pair.
The medium boots fit over top of my size 10.5 dress shoes perfectly and snugly, which makes walking easier. But, for their snugness, they were easy to remove. I was impressed.
They clearly say they're made in USA on the side of each boot. I like it.
They smell like new tires. I'm sure that will wear off. A crossfit blog raised the issue about the smell of new rubber gym mats. They suggested letting sunlight gently bake the smell (i.e., chemicals used to make boot) out of rubber or using Febreeze, which can trap the odorous chemicals in its sugar molecules. I'll see how those methods work.

Buy these, not those cheap yellow ones.

First let me say. Always wear plastic bag over boots, under these. Helps a lot in removal.
Second would be to kick backwards on heel to remove. These boots are almost self sealing, they will not rip like the 30$ box store units after 1 wear. They are made in the state of Ohio. US made. They do have an oder for the first couple weeks. But these are boots that as a homeowner will last for life. Or as a pro, should last years.

I bought these boots for my husband after someone told him how great they were. He is a concrete finisher and goes through a lot of boots every season. Treds claims that the boots will last 6-8 times longer than the boots he has been buying for many years. So far they have outlasted the older style boots and they still look new. They are very cut and tear resistant, which was the biggest problem with the other boots. They can be patched, if need be, with a tire patch. And they are super lightweight. After he wore them to work, a couple of other guys that he works with ordered them too. All of them are very happy with them
Decent pair of boots,overpriced.

Have been buying these boots ever since Tingly quit selling their 17" overboot,a couple years or so.Tingly boots were around $25,these boots are very similar and wear about the same(develop a hole at back of heel).A good feature of Treds is no right or left, boots are identical. These boots should be $25 but because 17" boots are hard to find they're $50 just about everywhere.Used on livestock farm.
