Dry to mostly dry

I ordered these in both black and brown. The first black one I received was completely dry. The second one I received in exchange is mostly dry. As such it is OK for dusting my shoes and imparting a faint shine. The brown version works great on leaves a nice shine on my other shoes. If only the black ones worked as well!

This is used to maintain a shine. As long as the finish is in good condition, it works great. If the finish is not in good condition,badly scuffed etc, polish the shoes first, then use this to maintain the shine.

Easy application of the product, I use it along with my shoe shine alternate that takes time once in a while. if I don't have time, I just pop this open and use it and it does it's thing.

These sponges do get the job done, and are great in a pinch. As someone who used one daily for years at my old job I can tell you just purchase the tube version that contains far more product than these do. Also the formula for the sponges attract dirt and dust like no other. Its fine for the day, but by the next day you will need to re-apply so to remove all the dust that has collected. The tube version is definitely a different formula as I only need to apply it about twice a week to keep a shine, and the tube version doesn't attract dust like the sponges due. Keep one of these in the trunk if you already bought one in case of a pinch or random get together. However if your browsing KIWI products, go for the tube version.

The liquid polish does not impregnate the sponge even though a supply is visible through the window on the top. In fact, the sponge itself seems very dry and grainy, not at all like the sponge for the brown polish like this from Kiwi. I looked at two similar items in a retail store and they seemed to have the same problem. So perhaps there was a problem with production. For the cost, this is not worth a return so I'll discard this item.
