Ok when you first open this item I recommend doing so outside. The odor was horrible. After spending the first 30 some hrs hanging from a tree I was able to bring it inside. While outside I packed all the pockets full of paper to pop the wrinkles out of the pockets that make it impossible to open. The inside has ample padding and does a good job separating a patrol rifle and RPP. The shoulder strap is not going to hold up do to weight so $8 and a trip to the hardware fixed that future issue. This is an already heavy bag empty and seems to be put together strong.
The only range bag you will ever need!

After comparing a lot of different range bags, I purchased the Voodoo Tactical Ultimate Drag Bag in Olive Drab for my M1A Springfield (Loaded) rifle. Looking over this bag you can tell it was made to perform in extreme conditions! I can not only carry my M1A securely, but have room for a second rifle, extra magazines, bi-pod, detachable scope and ammo. I ran out of stuff to carry before I ran out of pockets. For the serious hunter, target shooter or survivalist, this is the bag for you!

I almost didn't buy this because of some of the reviews I read here. Then I figured, some people will complain about anything and everything and not consider the reality of what they are doing. So I took the chance and bought it. My long range rifle weighs in at 14.6 pounds, and my back up weighs in a 9.4 pounds. That's 24 pounds, plus the 12 pound weight of the bag and another 10 pounds of additional equipment, that 46 pounds. Using the handles is not a problem, but I worried about the shoulder strap and the shoulder straps, for carrying like a back pack. I'm not stupid enough to put 46 pounds on one shoulder, I am sure something would break, probably me. The back pack straps work good as does the handle straps. I wouldn't trust almost $8000 of rifles and glass to be supported by one shoulder strap, so that shoulder strap has been removed and I wont us it.

I have lots of bags and kits, some better, some not as good.
This bag quality is very good. I'm leaving 4 stars however because of the backpack strap feature. Which is specifically why I purchased this one. The straps mount to the vertical webbing on 5" centers. Not sure who that's designed for but I'm 5'11" and 147 lbs and it is so close together it simply doesn't work. No human who can carry a rifle is 5" wide at his waist or shoulders.
The lower mount point for the straps is also too far up from the bottom of the bag so it hits the back of your legs with each step. It hangs too low.
I bought it to use for carrying my 47" long precision rifle, handgun, ammo and gear in a challenging terrain event where all gear has to be carried many miles, and couldn't use it for that.
If you're just looking for a very heavy duty bag to carry by hand, or to carry yo the range, the backpack straps are easily removed. The pocket and padding quality is good and still make this a good value. With a few minor changes by the manufacturer it could be perfect.

I purchased this bag so I could carry all I need for the range and that includes my 300 win mag, and my 308, both long range weapons (both with great glass on them), padding is great. I can carry all the ammo and gear I need for a full day at the range and for extended hunting trips if I change everything around. The backpack style handles go along way out in the field. I would buy this again, tough, sturdy and can take a beating.
