Awesome, Solid Strap for Your Full-Frame Camera
Shawn Barry✓ Verified Purchase•September 21, 2016
It feels super-secure...like it's bulletproof. Before I bought this, I'd really doubt riding around with my FF camera on a bike, but now I actually feel like that's something I could do with this strap. You'll feel like you're a soldier walking around with this thing attached to your camera, without the 50+ pounds of gear...just your camera and lens!
It comes with the typical drawing-type instructions, which take forever to understand unless you watch the video (which they kindly provide the web address for), but once you get the bumpers set up and the strap lengths right, it's a solid performer. It also comes with a BlackRapid sticker, which I personally put on my laptop. It's a nice touch, and it lets you know you're getting something nice.
If you've got 70 bucks to spend, definitely go for this strap! I certainly don't regret it.

6 stars if I could--best camera accessory ever

This is the single greatest photography accessory I've ever purchased. We used it on a 14-day safari through Africa, mostly using a 400mm rented zoom lens (heeeaaaavyyy). We did't even notice the weight of the lens or camera--no more sore neck, no more fumbling for the camera when a great shot was at hand--the camera just slides effortlessly up the strap and is ready to go. I can't say enough good things--I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
My only head-scratcher was the small clamps on the strap that are supposedly used to limit the sliding range of the camera. These are worthless and not needed. They constantly came loose and wouldn't hold even a standard SLR with small lens, much less something with big glass on it.
I'm 6'1", my wife is 5'7", we traded this back and forth with almost no adjustment--if anything, we'd make the long strap a tad looser for me, which takes about 1 second. The underarm strap really helped keep things secure, and didn't need to be tight at all.
Love love love.

I was amazed at how much easier this cross-body style made carrying ...

My camera, when it has the big lens on, weighs almost ten pounds. That is a lot to carry around your neck. I was amazed at how much easier this cross-body style made carrying the camera, took soooo much weight off. Plus, I was having an issue with my camera not recognizing that a lens was attached. After doing some research I found that it could be from the big lens being so heavy and putting stress on the connection point. If I attach this strap to the tripod ring on the lens, it stops the gravity of the lens from pulling down on the camera body and that problem totally disappears. Must have for bigger camera setups or even if you are just "on the go" this will make carrying your camera so much easier and more comfortable.
An absoulte winner. Might seem spendy, but you'll never go back to anything else after using it.

As a professional photographer, I fully endorse BlackRapid straps, as I have used several of their dual-camera harnesses over the years. This single sling strap is basically 1/2 of one of those, and it is designed and works just as well. I was uncertain of the strap that goes under the arm (figured I'd just remove it) but found it to be an excellent addition to the whole system -- keeps the main strap anchored well, plus adds yet another layer of security atop of what a sling strap already provides. And speaking of security and well-thought out design... I was concerned that the "quick release" buckle on the main strap would translate to a quick release option for a thief running up behind you to quickly release your gear from you to them. But no... this quick release buckle is actually a security version: it takes a fancy two-handed move to actually release. You want this. This means yes, it can quickly release, but only with an intentional, focused, only-you-know-the-secret-move dance. Overall, a very good, comfortable, practical, well-designed strap. Expensive (relatively), but worth every penny.
Nice Strap!

I'm a teacher and had the opportunity to go to Disney in Florida over Christmas break with a field trip. I took my Canon 70d and a Canon 24-70 F/2.8L. The Canon strap tore my neck up lugging all that weight around for a week. I realized I needed something better. I did a little research and went with the BlackRapid Sport. It's not cheap (is any camera equipment cheap), but when I consider the price of what I am going to hang on the end of it I needed to be pretty confident. It screws into the tripod plate on the bottom of the camera. Once on the strap is much more comfortable than the strap on the camera. I tend to be a bit paranoid, and BlackRapid evidently understands people like me so I also bought a Black Rapid tether kit. It is basically a secondary tether that attaches to the old camera strap ring on your camera so that if somehow the screw came unscrewed your camera is still attached to the strap. I love a redundant safety system. I haven't had the opportunity to try the strap out in anything as grueling as our Disney trip, but I am planning a summer, all day, Columbus Zoo trip soon and I will be using the strap. I'll check back with this review and post how it turns out. If you buy, I hope you are as happy with it as I am so far and thanks for taking the time to read my review.
