Won't feel like the 5/16" GTs of old

I was doubtful the darts were 5/16" until I measured with a vernier. The main difference between these and the old GT 5/16" is probably the way they shaped the front of the barrel. The old GTs were more blunt on the barrel front while these are more tapered. Plus the old GTs had a smaller rear barrel utilizing a smooth pin rather than the threaded one on the new GTs. This may have also contributed to the old GTs having a greater slope from rear to front than the new ones. That lesser slope is why the new GTs did not offer the same feel as the old ones.
Overall the quality is still there and other than a cleaning on the point/mechanisms they work fine.

I have the older style, shark skin grip. I seldom use them because they are no good. The moveable point is such a useless gimmick I am surprised they are still trying to sell them. They make it necessary to "yank" your darts from the board because the dart barrel spins around the point when you try to remove it, so it does you no good at all to try to twist the dart before pulling it out of the board. The threading on the shaft end of the dart is third grade "esque," if you know what I mean. These darts are crudely made, as if made by a third grader. Oddly enough, some of the other darts made by this company are quite good -- good enough to induce me to buy six sets of them!
