Solid. Multiple uses.
Kinda light for shoveling, unless you are shoveling snow ...

Kinda light for shoveling, unless you are shoveling snow, however the edge on the thing is sharp. It could be used to chop small saplings, weeds, jungle foliage etc. It reminds you of a med evil battle axe. For twenty bucks I guess its worth it.....the sheath does not have a belt loop so you'll have to pack that or carry it..
a lot of power and very sharp

This isn't really a shovel it has nothing to really help with digging. but this is an amazing machete with a ton of chopping power. Its basically a hatchet mixed with a machete. I really enjoy it and love unique designs that work well. But again if you want a shovel you should pass, but I think it's still definitely worth it.
Chops good, digs decently

It can take a beating. Mine didn't have the weird hole in it.
Chops good, digs decently, looks sexy as hell. Def worth the price.
Update June 28th 2017:
This poor thing has taken a serious beating in the mountains of Colorado.
Drunkenly digging up large rocks put a good number of dings in the edge but it's still sharp enough to chop wood.
Lost our frying pan on the trek at some point, but have no fear the marbles doubles as a flat top stove. Once all the red paint burnt and melted off and a quick cleaning, we cooked bacon/rabbit/squirrel etc. on it. The handle is very durable despite reckless swinging and beating rocks and trees up with it.
