Simple, sturdy, stable and easy to ride....

Used to own one of those spindly racing bikes, razor thin tires, (that were usually flat) frame like a coat hanger, endlessly de-railed de-railer, stress positions, dangerously unstable even at moderate speeds, etc. Took a nasty spill on one and gave up cycling for a long time. As an old guy I decided to get back into it. This time I looked at modest cruising bikes and this one seemed to be pretty good for reasonable money. Nothing fancy or pretentious here, you won't set a speed record, but this bike is sturdy, lines are attractive, it's very stable (a big deal for me) and it's remarkably easy to ride.
If you want easy assembly and you aren't cycling up Mt Whitney any time soon get the three speed. It's fine.
Two minor takeaways. It could use a front hand break, but those are pretty cheap and I have one on the way. Also, the seat is rock hard, but that's another easy accessory. JDA

A review after two years of riding.

My review after two years of owning this bike.
Assembly: It wasn't hard putting the bike together but I'm a bit handy. I think it would be challenging for those unfamiliar with tools or how things go together. It also required a bit of strength which may be hard for some people.
Adjusting: The biggest problem was getting everything adjusted properly. The first six months required many adjustments to the brakes and shifting mechanism as the wires and chain got stretched and broken in. Two yeas late I'm still adjusting things but I expect that's normal for all bikes.
Durability: Everything is holding up fine. Very pleased.
Pros: Cost, style (sitting upright with a wide handlebar rather than a racing bike.) shifting ease (see below in cons), comfortable seat, fit and finish.
Cons: Weight, shifting (seven gears sometimes isn't enough) frequent adjustments.
All in all I'd buy it again. It was a good choice for me.

The bike was delivered very quickly, ordered on a Saturday got it Tuesday afternoon!!!
The packaging was great, the box had a few holes in it from where the shipping company did not follow the directions printed largely on the box to "DO NOT LAY FLAT" each part in the box is either wrapped or has a plastic piece to hold it in place and prevent shifting in transit.
The assembly portion was easy enough although ours didn't come with the packet of grease like the directions said it would. We had some laying around I would imagine most would not.
I'm 5'8" with a longer torso and the bike fits me pretty perfectly when I am standing with the bike in between my legs there isn't much clearance but I don't have to stand on my toes or anything. My boyfriend is 6'1" and the bike is also very comfortable for him.
The seat is springy but still supportive, the ride is smooth thanks to the tires and the gears change quickly and accurately with a slick action the brakes are very good and easy to adjust!
Overall it's a really nice bike and given the price it's kind of a steal! Plus we've already gotten a lot of looks and complements, I have a dog trailer attached to pull our 25 lbs Shiba Inu and the bike does so without any problems.

Cool looking bike, comfortable, cheaply made.

This bike has a few good things going for it but cheap parts and tires make it unusable. First of all the bike itself has a great design. It looks great and is very comfortable for short rides. Also for short rides it does very well going up hills and rides incredibly smooth. Unfortunately, the 2nd seat adjustment left the bolt shanked off inside the stem. I could tell the first time that the parts used were very cheap and was even careful not to over tighten. As the part itself seems to tighten internally there is no way to replace the part. The second issue wasn't as big of a problem for me but it was noticeable that the rear tire was wobbly when you would ride it. As other reviewers have said the tires are not true. For the price and how I planned to use the bike I was going to let this slide but now that the seat is busted this is going back.
Grreat ride AND it's beautiful!

Assembly was easy. It easily carries my 230lbs. The included warranty/Users Manual ispretty good but I couldn't find instructions for calibrating the 3-speed gears. The gears are made by Shimano (a top brand!) so I easily found calibration instructions on the internet. Calibration is childishly easy -- loosen 1 screw then turn a nurled screw so as to line up the arrow between 2 lines and job is done. The gears are located inside the hub. I like that. The bike has coaster brakes instead of rim-brakes. I like that, too.
With the 3-speed gears, it is easy to peddle, even when going up mid-sized hills. I get many compliments on the beauty of this bike as I ride around town. Altogether a really fine city bike.
