I wish I could give it 10 stars! I got this as a present for a family member that shares my love of horror movies. She keeps it on her counter all year around...putting different hats/headbands on it for the upcoming holiday.
All I have to say is......I won Christmas!!!

Jason is holding lots of candy and won't fall over

Love this Jason candy bowl holder. I purchased several characters (Joker, Freddy, and Yoda), to send to my son who is away at college. To weigh the candy bowl down and to keep him from toppling over, I use the following supplies. I used a mouse pad to cover the back to prevent anything from falling out. I laid down the candy bowl on top of mouse pad and traced the bottom half with a marker and then I cut along the traced outlined on the mouse pad -- the cut template should fix nicely on the back of Jason. After the cut, I glued the pad on to Jason -- carefully aligning the pad to Jason's back outline. Wait until glue dries. Filled plastic bags with pea rocks. I also filled emptied plastic water with peak rocks (this is optional).
Rubies has outdone themselves with these!!

As anyone who knows me (Mr. Frights) can tell you, I'm a HUGE collector of Horror and Halloween stuff. That's why these are such a big deal. The perfect mesh of the two things. A horror icon candy holder! I loved the idea the moment I saw them. I had no idea how big they would be... sometimes reported dimensions are off a little, but I was happy about the size.
There are two things about these guys that bugs me. The first is the weight. There is none. No weight in the base, no weight to counter the weight of the candy to keep them standing up, just no weight. For that reason alone it's probably best to keep these guys inside. From a collector's point of view I wouldn't want to have them fall over outside into the dirt, grass, or hard top and get damaged. It's not worth it.
The second thing is just how awesome these are. I don't live in a neighborhood where things go missing routinely, but I just wouldn't chance it. I did lose a tombstone to some local kids mischief last year and I'd rather not have any more of my stuff go missing. Usually it's going to be the coolest things out there. So unless you're keeping an eye on these Freddy and Jason candy holders, I feel it's best to keep them inside.
The body is made from a heavy duty foam and is at least 3/4 inch thick all around. They stand very easily, but because of the lack of weight, they also fall over easily.
The thing that surprised me most is that they are only fronts. The back is just not there, it's a foam shell and you can add your own weights if you're so inclined. Beanbags might do well as there's not much room back there. Also, the bowls are a clamshell type of plastic. Not hard plastic, but bendable, wrinkle-able, soft plastic. Because of that you need to be careful with the bowls or I imagine they could crack or split. You might also want to watch how much candy you put in the bowls. Not just for the fact you'll make these top heavy, but also for the sake of keeping the bowl nice.
As cool as these are I had to grab them up. Rubies has been outdoing themselves now for a few years and this release last season was really impressive. If you're a collector I'd totally recommend getting these, if you're a Halloween enthusiast, get them. If you're planning to use these outside as your candy holders, I'd probably just pick up a nice cheap $1 bowl at the Dollar Tree and use that instead. These would be more suited for a Halloween party where you're sure they won't get broken or beaten up or swiped out from under you.

It's Awesome! Great Collectible Item to Display!
Joel Lomba✓ Verified Purchase•May 20, 2023
Well, as some may have purchased this for Halloween and such to hold candy. I purchased this to display inside of my game room. For those that purchase this to hold candy and other objects, please be aware that it is a hollowed out item and it can't hold too much weight or it will tip over. I put a 2.5lb weight in his hands and he began to tip over. What I did to support him more was put down double sided 3M tape under his boots. No need for weights behind him or to tie him down!
As for the physical aspect of Jason: He is almost 2 feet tall. He is made out of like a heavy-duty foam. The paint and texture is so well done and it looks so realistic. Everyone that comes over can't help but compliment him. I think i'm going to purchase Freddy next to have the pair!
Like I said, I'm using this a collectible and to just show off my favorite horror movie figure. So that's why I decided to add a little extra to him with the dolls and the headphones. They do not come included! Only the bowl comes with Jason. It is a cheap, flimsy, oversized bowl that will make him tip over without much weight added.

This is hollow and not as sturdy as others I have.

This is hollow which made it lightweight but not as sturdy as some other candy dishes. Nice detail, though.
