A Very Good Trainer
Scott L•December 26, 2017
This is my 2nd Rad trainer. The first one didn't have resistance control. The resistance control is a great feature and definitely makes things tougher as you advance to the higher settings. I saw several reviews that said the resistance control didn't do anything. Not true. It definitely works!
I also saw reviews that said the trainer is too loud. Not true. If you have tread on your tires there is noise but with a slick tire it is very quiet. This is a very good trainer.

Great bang for your buck!

First off, I am a fifty something man, not a elite cyclist. I am not training for the Tour de France. I want something to get some miles on at off hours of the day. This trainer fits the bill perfectly. It is compact, easy to set up and includes everything you need. It took less than 10 minutes to get my bike on it, including changing the skewer and pumping up my tires. The resistance adjustment is not that great, barely noticeable, but I can get what I need with my bike's drive train. It seems stable enough too. I can stand in the saddle and go for a bit and not feel unsafe. It is not noisy I can carry on a conversation or probably watch TV if I wanted to easily. I can easily use ear buds for music or audible book with no issue. I would not hesitate to recommend this trainer. It is a great bang for the buck.
Good product, ridiculously useless instructions.

Would have given this a five star review except the instructions are unusuable. Not just unclear, just throw them out. Because the instructions are so bad, we ruined one tire while trying to figure it out, but now that we know, it's good for the money.
USE A TRAINER TIRE. Make sure the tension is so tight that you can't force the wheel to slip.

... don't pay much for the product and it's going great. However

You don't pay much for the product and it's going great. However, you can't really go much faster than 15 mph otherwise it makes a crazy annoying roaring noise. I'm fine with that as I simply increase the resistance or lower the gears on my bike if I want to pedal faster. However, I was somewhat bummed about needing to watch my speed. I live in an appartment so I need to be cautious on the noise I'm making.
A great alternative for the winter months.

Got this as a birthday present . Arrived earlier then expected and was not damaged. Its also easy to set up. Using this over the winter months so i can keep riding. Over all I love this product. Works well and changing gears does provide more of a challenge just as it does outside. There is a button for lack of a better word that comes along to increase the difficulty and I don't bother using it. Shifting gears provides a more noticeable difference. When using this there is a a level of noise from the tire rubbing. With in 5 mins of using it I forget about the noise but some may not. I can listen to you tube videos, music etc over it so its not a concern for me.
