DEFECTIVE and not well made bikes.

I purchased two Firmstrong Urban Beach Cruisers... one woman and one man. The men's beach cruiser, the three speed, a Christmas gift for my BF. Shipping through Prime it arrived on time. That's the only positive thing I can say. Putting it together was a complete pain in the butt. Thank goodness he is handy. Once it was put together, from day one we had issues. These bikes are not well made. We gave it a try. Rode it around, tried to make adjustments but the gears kept failing, making clicking sounds and shifting and changing on its own. Finally we thought instead of hassling to return it, we would take it to a bike shop to see if they could repair it (it was already an ordeal returning the woman's bike I got which was also a DUD). Anyway, the bike repair guy told us it is not repairable because the bike is completely DEFECTIVE. So now, it's being returned and I have requested a refund. But once again, I have to take the time, find a box big enough to fit this damn bike in, take it all apart, and lug it down to UPS to ship. A complete pain. NEVER EVER order bikes or other large items from Amazon.

The bike is OK and a good deal, except: a section of the Kenda whitewall rear tire was cut too small and ballooned out of the rim when the inner tube was filled: a freaky, unacceptable problem. Several adjustments did not solve it and on the second day the inner tube went flat The only solution is a new tire, and now also a new inner tube. I contacted Firmstrong three times by email within 48 hours of delivery (they seem to be located in souther CA) and got no response. I could find no telephone number to call for help. So I bought another tire and inner tube, on Amazon, because I cannot put up with that nonsense. If Firmstrong sees this I would like a refund of $25. Meanwhile, I am waiting for these new items and cannot ride my bike, which I do at work three days a week. Amazon, help me out here.

Good bike! After two days heard something inside the bike rattling. Removed the seat post and turned the bike upside down and bearing rolled out. Amazon is sending a replacement as I type this. I'm hoping the second bike doesn't fall apart after only 2 days. I will update my review as soon as I get the other bike and put it on the road.

This bicycle is absolutely AMAZING!!! I bought this for my 9 year old son. We have bought him many "BMX" style bikes, and they are ok. But we live at the beach and a beach cruiser is what you need here. This is the smallest on we could find (24 inch). It is just barely to big for him so he has to stand on tippy toes to touch ground. He is 4 foot 2 inches. I was super easy to put together and it's a beautiful bike! Also I live on the East Coast of NC, this bike came from the West Coast of Cali and was here in 2 days! Don't think twice about buying this bike! I am going to order for myself in a month or so!
