Been buying Joan Rivers great hair day for a couple years now and love it but since their supplier ran out of my color before February and i couldn't find anywhere i was forced to look somewhere else for a similar item. I found this Irene Gari and thought i would give it a try, wow i am so happy with it. We're talking 29.95 for the other and no free shipping to this for 7.95 and free amazon prime!!! It was an experiment at first to find the right color. I always use the brunette because my hair is still pretty black. Irene Gari's dark brown was a shade too light so i tried the black and it works just fine. I compared ingredients and they are very very similar. When I think I have spent $60.00 or more every time i order every 6 weeks I can't believe this is only $7.95 flat rate and i get it in 2 days compared to 2 to 3 weeks for the other. I would have to try to stock up because i never knew if it would be 2 or three weeks to receive. The only drawback is the brush is too small and sheds but i have plenty of extra ones from the other product, enough said. Wanted to let others know, hope this helps someone like me that can't exactly wear hats to work to cover my thin hair.

This stuff is awesome.

After watching a bunch of Youtube videos, research and all that stuff... I found this...
Wonderful stuff.

It doesn't transfer unless you scratch your head (in deep thought, that sometimes happens).
I workout with this lightly powdered on my pretty little head and it does not run at all. AT ALL.

A little goes a long way. Just a dusting and it's like..."what thinning hair? I don't have thinning hair spots."
I even got a compliment about how awesome my hair looked. Ha!
I just have a little thinning here and there and this is a great "filler" for the little spaces.

Recommended? If you have a TON of thinning...this may not work. Ok, it probably won't.
If you have a little thinning that you can "hide" with the rest of your hair...this is perfect to make you feel confident that even if the wind blows, your hair will look full, regardless.

I love the price and the light feel, easy to apply, don't need a lot. This stuff will last a long time!

Got today. Covers good. Brush is nothing to write home about and sheds quite a bit. Need to play around with application but few happy with coverage and look after applying price for first time. Did transfer to my hand when I ran it through. Decided to spray some hairspray over it after I noticed that and there was barely any transfer.

I feel much more confident now that I have this. After chemo, my hair grew back much thinner on top and I hated to look in the mirror. Even with a light application I can see a difference. No need to go heavy like the old spray cans advertised for bald spots. I brush very lightly with a medium round brush as it gives a thicker look to any really fine or light hair strands. It also dims the shine on my scalp. My hair still looks thin, because it is, but not as thin. Below is a before and after. If I wanted I could fill in more, but once my hair is brushed and parted on the side it suits me fine. Sometimes I do my eyebrows with the supplied brush and I do my part with the supplied brush for it to be straight.

So, I purchased this to cover roots in between coloring my hair. I bought the Light Brown. The product description states this: 'Get ready to love your hair again with Cover Your Gray Fill-In-Powder'. So, I bought it for just that reason. I've used a couple of other root scalp powders and most of them are way too dark so I always opt for the lighter end of the shade choices so that I dont get too dark of a color outcome. Well, this shade is not for any shade of brown hair, even the lightest brown. It barely covered my lightest roots. I used quite a bit with the brush and also with a cotton ball. Just seem to not appear on my hair and barely showed on my scalp either which is what it's mainly marketed for. It covered the very minimal amount. I'm thinking that I'd have to get the black shade to get best coverage but honestly the powder itself just didn't seem to pick up on my hair. Usually with these scalp and root hair covering powders a little goes a long way. Not this one. I didn't spend too much, thank goodness, but still disappointed. Can't be returned either... I gave this 2 stars because as I stated there was a minimal amount of coverage, just not enough for me. If you decide to buy, get the darkest or darker than your normal shade and maybe you'll have luck. Also, this has no scent and caused no irritation, so it gets a couple stars for reasons mentioned.
