RETURNED - Flawed design, Meter cannot be mounted on the shaft correctly.

RETURNED There is a flaw in the design. The mounts for the meter do not match the slots in the arm. They are 1/4 inch off. You can not mount it without just giving up and duct taping it to the shaft. Really stupid that they are selling something with such an obvious design flaw.

This item was sent without all the parts for assembly as noted in manual. You receive the item with it adding no value, hints living up to the great deal price. Very disappointed upon assembling item. Highly recommend paying the money to get better value metal detector. This one I will just bite off because shipping is equally as troublesome as opening the box to your metal detector and missing the part that holds the stem together :(

Was a gift for my husband for Christmas. He has wanted one for about four years. He was a very happy camper and although isn't the best one, it will do for use as an occasional adventure or until he wants to really get into it more in depth and with more frequency. Then it will be mine and he will get the big dollar one.
For beginners it is great. Some reviews say the poll will break

It works well, however the sensitivity is an issue. It is hard to adjust it so that it only picks up precious metals. It is hard to tell how deep the metal is and only works up to about 6 inches. For beginners it is great. Some reviews say the poll will break, this is true if you are not carful, but has never broken for me. It would if any weight was put on it by leaning or hitting the ground.
very easy to assemble

very easy to assemble. Also, very easy to use. I've been going to our local beach twice a week looking for what I can find. Not much in the way of valuables, but a lot of fresh air and conversations with others about looking for stuff in the sand. I never realized how messy people are at the beach before, found many bottle caps and pull tabs.
