I purchased this to use as an everyday notebook. I make a lot of appointments for my husband and found myself scheduling them on the same day so I needed something I could quickly reference while on the phone. While I love the look and feel of the book, I would not recommend it for this for everyday use. The pages are made of almost fabric like paper which is amazingly authentic but not something you just want to jot down notes on. I kept it in my purse which gets lots of wear and tear (going through it I mean) and the book held up fantastically. I nixed the idea of everyday notes and now use it to write special notes to my children that I will share with them long from now. I would recommend this notebook.

...I write poetry everyday and this is going to motivate me to write a lot more often. The design is a marvelous color with very antiqued designs on the cover and binder which adds so much class. The paper is excellent for writing! It is sturdy and the color and texture amazed me as soon as I unlocked the book. It is a little larger than my hand. I am still marveling over the uniqueness and quality. The paper has unique uplifted moments throughout which makes your writing so appealing! I'm an old fashioned girl who loves the antique look on justvabout everything so this was a winner take all for me. The price is excellent and I will be purchasing additional books each month to form a collection of writings. The unique design of them on a bookshelf will capture attention I am positive. Recommended Highly.

I really like this journal. It is, as most other reviews I have seen, smaller than I anticipated. It's about the size of larger index cards. However, it seems really well made. I'm not 100% sure if the leather is genuine but it seems to be, and the opposite side of it feels like animal hide. It has a lot of nice, aged-looking soft pages that seem like homemade paper, and in general the picture is very accurate to how the outside looks (the actual pages are less of a pure white than the picture indicates, though-which to me is a good thing). On the pages, occasionally you find little splotches of stuff (not sure what it is) but if you want it usually scrapes off easily with a fingernail. Overall I really love the aesthetic of this journal, and I do in fact think I'll be using it to put poems in; However I've also considered using it as a prop in Dungeons and Dragons, and it would work well for that.

I love this product. Is it some modern machine made ultra polished perfectly aligned leather book? No its not and thats why I like it.
This product has visual defects, the pages are not perfect and even one of the bindings was loose. But thats kinda why I bought it, its suppose to be an old classic looking book with character. This has TONS of character and its ultra unique. I got this as a gift to my better half and she loved it. It has such a personalized feel that it shows you took the time to find something special.
If you are getting this as a gift to someone who likes this type of stuff, you wont be disappointed.
If you are looking to get a very well made leather book without flaws, do NOT buy this. That would be a mistake. Its going to have flaws and that should be a reason you buy it as it comes off as unique and special.

Im giving it a 5 cause I laughed so hard when I opened the package up! I must not have seen that it was the size of my palm! For the price I will keep it cause it's adorable!
