This is a great encasement. It's labeled for use on box springs that are 9 inches deep, but I decided to use it on my 9 inch mattress instead. It is NOT waterproof, but I didn't want it to be. Instead, I wanted my mattress to be able to really really breathe and for air to circulate on the bottom (air circulation helps prevent mold in foam and latex mattresses, I have a latex mattress on a slatted bed base) while still being protected from bed bugs. I added a waterproof mattress protector from another brand that only covers the top of the mattress (like a fitted sheet, but not waterproof on the sides). I topped that with a normal nicely padded mattress pad. This combination works really well for me. This encasement is nice and stretchy and the fabric feels high quality. I can't say if it works against bedbugs since I don't have any and my mattress is new, but based on the construction I think it definitely works for prevention. Prevention of bed bugs is much easier and cheaper than treating for them after the fact! Good luck fighting the fight ;)

The covers are great and work beautifully. They are easy to put on--but you do need 2 people for the job so that it goes on evenly. The material is soft but thick and strong, and it does breathe. The zipper construction is great. The package provides a special plastic strip and Velcro so that there are no gaps or spaces around the zipper closing. We had a bed bug issue on the box spring of our bed. After taking the bed apart and treating the frame, we put the Hospitology covers on the box spring and the mattress. It's now a little over a month, and the bed has been a bite-free zone. I highly recommend this product.

The quality of this mattress garment is beyond amazing. The instructions called for two person set up however if you can slip on a pair of pantyhose it's pretty much the same concept . You can do this by yourself . It took me a total of 10 minutes for the mattress and 10 minutes for the boxspring . I was able to not only get my mattress into the encasement I was also able to put in a 2 inch Tempur-pedic cushion on top of the mattress . Both the mattress and box spring can fit into either encasement (box Spring garner The or mattress Garnett encasement) the reason that I know this is because I accidentally put the mattress into the boxspring encasement and the box spring into the mattress encasement . These encasements are of excellent durable quality and I highly recommend that if you've been looking for a way to keep your mattresses dust free or you're just looking for a way to make your mattress boxspring look brand-new this is much much better . You will not be disappointed . If you live in a dust prone area you need to get these! My bed never looked so beautiful or felt luxurious. Note: I also. Purchased the pillow cases they are amazing as far as look, however the feel of laying on the pillows they are not neck friendly . But they look amazing as far as for display but if you're looking for comfort and having a dust free pillow they would definitely work well . I'm definitely going to keep the dust protectors on but I'm going to purchase additional king size pillows that I can sleep on comfortably. All in all I would highly recommend this company with this product they really rock !

I purchased this item because I am highly allergic to dust mites. I have the encasement for the mattress. So I just thought this would make it better. This Sleep Defense System works great. Even though the label says it takes 2 to properly install, I put it on myself. It was very easy to slide on the box spring. No Problem. Ordering this item was a breeze and arrived in just a few days. Great Buy!

Best defense against ever-recurring and detestable bedbugs. I tried food grade diatromaceous earth, tea tree oil, hot power steaming, and aerosols, as well as washing all bedding regularly, but I didn't get finality until I zipped up my mattress and box springs individually. Sadly I didn't figure out purchasing encasements until six months after the recu rring infestations. About three days after encasing my bed, there were no more bedbugs discovered, no more black fecal spots on my sheets, no more blood sucking nocturnal episodes and no more of my own blood stains on my sheets...and 'finally', I get quality, restful night's sleep again, yay! This has been one of the most wicked and nearly-unbearable occurrences I've ever experienced.

It is money-well-spent for these encasements...the best choice I made because it ended my personal-hellish nightmare that was realized, and many months of seemingly never-ending misery, sleepless nights, mental anguish and torment. I know...kinda graphic, lol, but, those who've experienced this can empathize.
