Great for the right items - don't stretch the box.

If your bulbs fit the slots, it is a perfect holder.
The amount of weight it handles is questionable and you can alter the sizes of the ornament slots within reason.
BUT if you have any pressure pushing them in that stretches the sides, the box will not clasp together.
I made it work for me so it's perfect but be aware not everything may work with these.
I use one layer and put 3 very heavy glass angels in it and it held fine but I wouldn't dare add anymore layers.
With three layers it still keeps weight well but it's wise to keep it light.

Best thing I ever got for Christmas ornament storage. I emptied 5 large containers, threw out all the original boxes and put the ornaments in these. Just wonderful. Order my second one this year. Highly recommended.

Pros:
Looks great
Compact, protective storage
Stacks
Can lock onto other boxes to form a tower
Cons:
Price
Annoying and frustrating to get the cheap cardboard dividers set up and inserted
Plastic catches break off side rendering the level useless
I initially bought two of these. Last Christmas, one of the plastic catches broke off the side of one of them, rendering that level useless. I bought another, assuming the catch breaking was a freak occurrence. This year, another catch broke off one of the other boxes. All the pros can't make up for a $50 storage product with a one-year life. I'll be trying something else.

I already had four of these (purchased several years ago), but I needed one more. As with my first batch, this is a wonderful way to store ornaments. I have been keeping the first four in my garage year round and have had NO problems of any sort. Easy to configure the interior divisions as you need; easy to see what is in each tier, so easy to sort by color or type, which makes pulling the desired ornaments out each year. The only breakage I had was when I stacked two (2 of the 3-tier units) overhead and attempted to lift down both at once. The top one slid off and hit the concrete floor 6 feet below. No ornaments damaged, but the peg on the green lid scored a direct hit and popped off. Totally MY fault! Otherwise, just check your fastenings before you pick up by the handle and you're off to the races. These storage containers are my dream containers.
Cracks, but is rigid and not cardboard. Overpriced but no alternatives.

Costs a lot because it's one of the few RIGID WATERPROOF ornanment containers. The others look like your heirloom glass ornament bulbs will fit fine but crush and break to shards the second the dog sits on them or the carrier gets smushed in the closet, or is all cardboard and will mush up if it gets wet in storage, and has some fabric cover that gets filty dusty in no time. This won't.
It's the ONLY one I've found that has rigid walls and won't get water damage. .
But it costs a lot and the plastic, while rigid is cheap. Mine ARRIVED wih one of the corners dented, and so the thign had to be taped to hold.
I kept it. I would imagine many of these crack during shipping but it's STILL the only rigid one out there, and for the cost of a iece of duct tape (the universal solver of all problems) it was not worth the hassle of return to get another probably cracked one anyway.
Downsides- WAY expensive, cracks easily. Upside, only rigid one around, and tape will fix it- I'm - oddly, recommending it as rigid non cardoboard (non-water damageable) heirloom ornament storage. I'm warning of the cracks and the high price. I just don't see an equivalent or better (or even cheaper) alternative.
