Great quality cam at a low price
slacker775•August 17, 2017
I had been looking to install a rear view cam in my 2013 Toyota Highlander for awhile but figured I would have to replace the OEM radio (6.1" non JBL touchscreen) but didn't want that added cost. After a lot of researching, I found that with the TY11 adapter, I would be able to utilize the factory radio. Installing this camera to the back of the rear door was pretty easy, and the attached cables, while, short were ample to get inside. The addition cable to run to the front were not long enough however so I had to splice a few additional feet to be able to cleanly reach. For any type of sedan, they should be fine as is. I powered this cam off the rear accessory outlet, and the video cable to the radio and it work exactly as desired. Put the car in reverse and the rear view cam shows up. For less than $50, a great value.
horrible

Just hooked up camera clear picture and camera is small looks good on my 2011 Accord. The funny thing is we initially bought a camera, same brand that attaches to our license plate and we had it professionally installed. It was WAY too obvious, it screamed camera. So we bought this one and plugged it into the existing wiring and it worked perfectly very happy!
Have an RV and want a wireless rearview? Here ya go...

The 5 stars is my assessment of my entire order of this camera accompanied by HitCar RCA DC Power Audio Video AV Extension cable and a WishRing Wifi Car Backup Camera Realtime Video Wireless. After opening and inspecting the packages I connected it up to 12v DC and ran a test using the Android App "WIFIAV". My phone detected the new wifi signal, I connected, updated the name and password, and "poof", the rear camera appeared on my phone. Since everything worked, I installed them as a rear clearance camera for my 34ft fifth wheel. I mounted the camera high on the rig and ran the cable through the existing center top trailer clearance light and then along the inside of the ceiling in order to get the transmitter closer to the tow vehicle. This was just to ensure I had a good signal. Full install took about 3 hours, most of that was choosing how to run the wires so they avoided my wife's "ugly test".
The only downside, and this is my fault, is that the backup camera has the grid. I didn't need or want that.

Waste of money

Spent an hour running wire and although the power lines tested for power with a volt meter the camera never powered on. Waste of money.
