A lot better than I expected!

I first purchased the Uppercase keyboard cover (about $7.99 I think) and it felt a bit heavy on they keys. I chose this because a friend of mine had a Kuzy case and it felt a lot better than mine so I decided to buy it. I have always typed with "purpose" and so this lighten the annoying macbook keyboard noise ( I am in a college class of 10 people and my typing noise can be REALLY loud). Overall I feel I will use this a lot more than the Uppercase keyboard cover I purchased. My friends joke that it is a "condom" for the keyboard since it is protective against adverse events but I appreciate not being the person who accidentally spills coffee and has to buy a new laptop. Overall ladies and gentlemen I feel this case is better than others I have tried. The backlight for individual lettering is not as bright, that is true, but its bad for your eyes to be typing in darkness anyways. People who openly complain about this are obviously doing something wrong. Yes, having a keyboard cover is a bit of a buzzkill when typing, but you will be thankful when some drunk/sober idiot spills beer/coffee/water/urinates on your expensive awesome laptop. Buy it and if some horrible event happens, thank yourself for buying a cheap product that will save you thousands of dollars.

It's a very light, slim keyboard cover that does what it's supposed to do: keeping your keyboard clean while fitting nicely on top of the keys. There's a couple drawbacks of course, but it's up to you to decide whether or not you're able to keep your keyboard clean without a cover. From my usage so far, the ways it affects me are as follows:
- the key clicks are not as crisp - the sound is not as distinct and it feels a little more mushy, but the rubber has its own 'click' feel to it that is surprisingly satisfying! When I first started using it, I was a little disappointed, but now having used it for 3 days, I've already forgotten that it's there sometimes.
- I'm using a macbook air, so the screen is lighter and not as solid as the Macbook Pros with the glass screens, so this may not apply to those of you, but I've noticed that the cover adds the slightest amount of thickness that affects how easy it is for my laptop to close completely (especially because the screen is so light) - the rubber on the top key row presses into the bezel a little bit and if I don't push down all the way, keeps the magnet from activating and locking down the cover. It's not a big deal, but just a head's up.
I don't use my backlit keyboard, so I can't share about that, and I haven't needed to wash or clean the keyboard cover yet, so I'll update this review later once I learn more after an extended period of time.

Great protection! but absorbs oils from skin and slightly loses shape

I bought this back in 2014 and it's still in good condition. The black coloring has started to fade away on keys that I use a lot but I don't look at my keyboard when I type so this isn't a big deal. During the summer and when the computer is consistently warm, the silicone tends to stretch out, making the keyboard look warped. This started happening within about a month or two of use (I use the computer almost every day). I tried dipping it in boiling water, placing in the freezer, etc. to shrink it back to its original shape. It didn't seem to work 100%, but still fits satisfactorily 2 years later.
Nowadays, all that needs to be done with this cover is to wash it every so often. The silicone has always absorbed oils from my hands and transfers them to the keys underneath and to my laptop screen above when closed (leaving unsightly square key markings), which comes off perfectly with a damp soapy microfiber cloth. It's a bit of a nuisance having to clean my computer of oily marks every so often, but the amount of dust and whatever else that this cover has protected from falling into my laptop's innards makes continued use totally worth it.

I bought a Macbook Pro 15 inch with Retina display and needed a case for it. When I clicked to purchase the case this Kuzy keyboard cover was an add on item so I picked it up as well. I've had issues with my old PC keyboards and I wanted to protected the one on the Mac, especially because it's backlit.
Well, so far so good. What I like most about the keyboard cover is that it fits fairly well and it provides a grip for the smooth keys. Because the Mac was new to me when I bought it, I didn't really have to get used to it. It'd probably feel weird now typing without it, but I've seen other comments in which people said it took some getting used to. What I like least about it is: 1 - It doesn't sit down on all of the keys--especially the delete key. There's a little air bubble which is little more than an annoyance when the rest of keys fit pretty perfectly. 2 - the letters are white, not clear, so you lose a little bit of the benefit of the backlit keyboard. You can still see light around the sides and on the caps lock key, but that's it. If they had made the letters clear instead of white, I probably would've given this 5 stars.
