Good concept, but results not realized

Hydro Controller and pumps have a simple design, good Assembly without a lot of wiring, that overall has poor performance. Controller needs better settings including a constant streaming setting. The pumps are noisy and have poor circulation. I have a 55 gallon tank and two pumps did not move my water, I had visible dead zones. I returned them all and while waiting for another set of the Jebeo wave makers, I reinstalled my one working Jebeo pump and alone it is moving more water than 2 of the Hydro brand. If the company improves their product perhaps in the future I may try them again. I took a chance after much research and reading many, many reviews, but this time I agree with the sad reviews.

I got this wave controller cause i already had one of their power heads in my reef tank, I purposely went out my way to purchase the Hydor smart wave circulation controller. I have seen other devices but I wanted to be different like my reef tank so I chose the Hydor smart wave controller. I loved that it has the three modes, a "feeding" mode, "alternating" mode, and a "dual" mode(this one is a" on" constantly) but i wish it had a 4th "pulse" mode that would work in correlation with the timer. But I'm still happy with the device, I currently have three hydor power heads connected to the smart wave controller using the "alternating mode"

Delivered this morning, works perfect with my 2 Hydor Koralia 240gph wave pumps. Appreciating the alternating flow, makes the water movement in my tank more natural for my livestocks. Will fecommend this products to friends in the hobby.

Just make sure you use it with a quite DC pump the clicking noise from the pumps will drive you nuts if you next to the tank. Other then that it works as intended and will not mark off stars just because of a pump clicking.

Test the pumps that you plan on using with this switch first. Plug and unplug your pumps several times, if they produce a knocking noise while starting and stopping this isn't for you. I tried several pumps and all of mine made this noise...even a hydor pump. I wish this worked, controls are nice, build is great but seriously, test your pumps!
