Terribly low quality, inconsistent, frayed and loose threads make for difficult, frustrating and inefficient use...

This is a review of the "Rope King ST-300 Sisal Twine"
Bought two rolls of Sisal Twine manufactured/sold by(?) different companies. This twine was significantly inferior, to the point of embarrassment. Lines were greatly frayed and loose which makes tying significantly difficult and inefficient. Inconsistent thickness of the twine makes its basic application questionable (read: pull too hard, and it will snap). For those of you who are considering this twine, there ARE better options out there! The sisal twine from "eco-rope" (the other roll of twine I bought) is significantly better. Though I cannot say that the "eco-rope" twine is "great" quality, it IS noticeably better than this option. If anyone else out there has experience with a high quality sisal twine, please feel free to leave a comment below! These items are hard to judge from pictures alone. It is terrible that such a product is being passed along to us as I feel this particular product would fail if any consumer gave it proper time and inspection.

I purchased this for a crafting project and it was a bit rougher than I anticipated, twine had uneven thicknesses and some areas with a lot of messy stringy parts. I'm not able to compare it to another version, so this may be normal.
Served my purpose (craft project) ok, I just trimmed off some of the uneven parts, and it turned out good.

Great Product, Great Service!

I ordered this to utilize at our parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary Party for decor, etc. I used it for the photo board, even used it to secure the cake slice "to-go" boxes. It shipped promptly, without incident. My husband purchased "twine" at our local Target, but this Sisal Twine had a better color (like paper bag brown) and was of better quality. Order with confidence.

The consistency isn't very good. I should've read the reviews more carefully. The thickness varies throughout the roll. I was using it to bundle large boxes of cardboard but it doesn't hold up well when I want a tight bundle. It'll fray in the thinner spots where it rubs against the cardboard. I'd say stick to using this more for arts and crafts than actual function.
Great for Crafts

After reading some of the other reviews, I just took a little sniff test of my roll of twine. I detect no "chemical" type of odors. It smells exactly how I would expect of a big roll of sisal twine.
This roll is perfect for doing crafts, creating a cute rustic look for decor or wrapping gifts. I actually bought mine for the latter. When I ship my crafts, I put them in a container tie this twine around them for a cute handmade look and put them in a larger box surrounded by Kraft packing paper. The entire effect is very shabby chic and goes over really well.
I've also used this twine to add to Christmas presents after wrapping them in Kraft paper. Again, it has a soft cottage feel.
The twine can be a little messy. As others have pointed out, it is frayed all along the length and as you unravel it and tie it, little shreds end up falling off. I would, therefore, not recommend this for use around food items. Instead, stick to baker's twine.
For crafting, though, this is just perfect!
