The arbor on this thing wobbles so bad, can't even start holes in small materials. The spindle is designed to "float" with one tiny set screw for alignment...which allows it to wobble so horrible I couldn't even use it for small holes. The chuck was machined out of round too. When the 5/64 drill bit hit the work product, it would actually transfer the wobble from the chuck into the bit itself. The very first time I used this press, I broke about a dozen bits. I packed it up, took it back for an exchange. Opened up the box on the second one...shaft very loose, though not as loose as the first. Taking it back and spending more money for a better brand. Most likely buy the Skill they sell locally at Lowe's.

I just purchased this exact one from a local harbor freight for $70 and I have to say I'm very impressed so far. I've been drilling threw hardened 01 steel with no problem. Make sure you get good bits thow because that has alot to do will how well it drills. Over all I'm very impressed with this drill press check out harbor freight and purchase one if your looking for a great hobby drill for a great price.
