Best Baby Purchase

This is the best baby purchase we've made!
We live in a small apt and space is very limited so this bath is the perfect solution, although even if you do have the space this is much more convenient. the two folding positions are genius - really creates a safer way to do bath.
Could not recommend this enough!

Love it! Perfect for a small bathroom!

Love it! Decided to get this since it's collapsible. We don't have much space in our bathroom. It hangs up and stashes away beautifully. I like that you can tilt the tub, makes things easier with a newborn. Since there is the issue with baby slipping down, I put a hand towel down first and onlygive sponge baths. I mean, why immerse a newborn in water anyhow? My baby loves it. My only criticism is that the drain is on the wrong end. I'd like the option to continuously drain the tub while sponge bathing. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with the purchase!
Eh, keep shopping

I debated whether to give to this 2 or 3 stars. The greatest feature of this tub is it's collabsibility. I have a small bathroom and this also comes with a hook that makes storage even easier.
Simply put, this tub lacks a anti-slip mat. I bought this for my 4 mo old son. Since he is not wuite sitting yet, I use the infant setting, but he slides all over the place. He is pretty active and done a few swim classes but some sort of textured bottom would at least keep him in one place. Also because it's collapsible, once the tub is extended fully it is a bit small in the bottom and there's not much room for him to move around and play. So as he grows, I don't see much use either. Lastly, this has amother design flaw - the plug is in the wrong place. When the tub is in the infant-reclined position it can't empty all the water out.

Dangerous

This product is very dangerous. The newborn support bar and the legs began collapsing after 2 or 3 uses. At first I thought that I might not have set it up correctly, but after double checking multiple times to make sure that the recline bar and the legs were in the proper position, it still kept collapsing every time we used it. It was very scary, but luckily I had a hand under my baby when it collapsed. I ended up just purchasing a cheap $17 bath and putting up with not having anywhere to put it, but at least my baby is safe now.
Fantastic tub, fantastic service from Boon

We have a small bathroom, so although there are cheaper (even free) baby tubs out there, we opted to go with this collapsible tub, and it's been great for $39.97. The only modification needed is to put a washcloth under baby's bum so they don't slip around constantly-you don't need to buy some fancy sponge, as others have discussed with infant bathing. We have been using this tub almost every night for baby's nighttime routine, from when she was newborn (18 inches, about 5 1/2 lbs) through currently, at nearly 7 months (25 inches, about 14 1/2 lbs). When she's super active she kicks her feet a lot and hits the edges of the tub but it never seems to bother her. As for everybody rating low stars because they can't figure out how to snap the metal bar into the right position...uh, that's not the product, that's you. To me, that's like complaining that your car's seat belt is defective b/c you didn't push the buckle in all the way until you heard it click.
Anyway, the reason I jumped on here so fast to write a review is because of my experience with Boon's customer service. Last week the plastic hook broke off the tub, so we haven't been able to hang it from a sturdy towel rack on the wall. So it's been resting against the tub and it's been annoying, even collapsed down. (I don't know how people tolerate having a NON-collapsible baby tub laying around!) I finally got around to calling Boon today (888-376-4763), and literally within 3 minutes I was already done with the phone call, being told they will send us a new hook to our home, free of charge. (The hook attaches with a simple screw.) No order number verification was needed, no photos to prove something was broken, nothin'. It was probably the easiest, most pleasant customer phone call I have ever made. Thank you, Boon! :)
Update: Boon actually sent us two hooks! Stopped using the collapsible tub when baby was able to sit up strong on her own around 7 1/2 months and wanted to be able to explore. Adding just a couple of inches of water to the bathtub worked fine. At her current age of 13 months she sits and stands a lot, so we still usually keep the water level pretty low, to keep excess splashing in check. Thinking our girl can use the collapsible tub as a bed for dolls and stuffed animals when she is older. :)
Picture is when baby wasn't quite five months old.
