Not a good choice

This is way too heavy, bulky, and thick. It gets even heavier when wet. It doesn't sit in the water well which means your child is up out of the water level for the most part. Also, we had to keep a towel over it to lay the baby on because she got a horrible rash from it.
Okay, but not for me

I only used this a few times. Seemed like more trouble than just holding the baby, since I still have to hold him while he's in it and worry about it tipping over. Plus, all the water has to be wrung out of this afterward. Developed some mildew spots after just a few weeks. I live in a humid climate, so that may have something to do with it. On the positive side, he seemed comfortable in it and it was easy to wash in the washing machine.
Ditch the plastic tubs!!

I received this as a baby shower gift and have since purchased it for another person. We had your usual plastic tub when our son was born and he absolutely hated it. After a few intense, tear filled baths, I remembered this and tried it out - my infant son was so calm! He actually relaxed and laid calmly through his bath!! I used this for every bath from then on until he was able to sit up on his own. I think this product had a great influence on his comfort in water and am so grateful we received it as a gift! I want everyone to know about it! If your baby hates plastic bath tubs, give this a try, it really worked for us.
Still using this for my toddler - great for transitioning to bigger tubs

I bought this for my new daughter over a year ago and we are still using it. When she was a newborn, I used it in the infant bathtub with her. It gives great support and lets water flow in under the baby. Then, when she was about 3 months old, I stopped using it for a month or two when she was just fine in her infant tub that had a padded back. But then she grew out of the infant tub, but wasn't old enough for a toddler tub. So I used this again with the toddler tub starting when she was about 5 months old. Now, at 13 months, I'm still using it with her in the toddler tub for rinsing her hair and washing her bum well. I just pop it in and let her lay back on it and she loves it. I expect in a couple months I'll move her up to the regular tub and this will be indispensable again, for laying her back on. In 13 months I've washed it maybe 4 times. It hangs up and dries great with the hanger provided.
Does the job!

I decided to give this bather a try after my infant pooped on the much cheaper foam one and I wasn't able to clean it. I didn't want a plastic tub so went for this. At first I wasn't sure it would work just because the fabric felt rather itchy and I thought it may irritate my baby's skin. BUT once in the tub, she was fine. After using this for a while I really do like it. It holds her well and it's easy to bathe her in the tub with it. It doesn't move around too much when I lift her up and down either. I think the best thing about it, is that you can wring it out FAIRLY easily and hang it up. I LOVE that feature. A few improvements such as softer fabric and maybe even suction cups to stick it to the tub so it didn't move? and this would be the best bather ever. As it is, I still think it's a great buy if you'd looking to avoid a plastic tub.
