I must not have read closely enough. This is chestnut tannin, not wine tannin from grape skins. It imparts a milder tannin flavor with nutty aftertones to wine, which means I won't be using it for wine making. Where it does impart interesting flavor is in coffee, added to the creamer, or in hot chocolate. There the nutty flavors are totally appropriate.
