awesome growler! just a little too tight

awesome growler! just a little too tight, kinda chips the glass because it is very tight. I put some black tape around it to protect it.

This is very thick and sturdy. The top is ceramic and fits very tightly. I use this for fermenting ginger beer, which can explode mason jars, but I have no concerns with this. It's also really nice looking, I've had several complements on it.

Loved these bottles! Bought them for my dad as a present, he is home beer brewer and he loved the bottles too! Would buy them again
Design flaw that makes the closure break the glass. :-(

I'm really not one to give poor product reviews, but this product has a serious design flaw (at least the growler delivered to me). After the first time we used it, I noticed when cleaning it that the glass on the neck of the growler had begun to crack. More importantly, it now has a full-blown hole in it, rendering it useless.
Where the design flaw comes is is that it's right where the closure snaps down to seal the container. It apparently exerts too much pressure on the glass, resulting in the crack. See photos.
This is too bad, as I otherwise think this is a very nice growler, and it's even more annoying because I bought it to replace another (even nicer) growler, which I accidentally broke.

Heavy Duty and Amazing!

It has seen many trips back and forth from my favourite local brewery and everyone is impressed by it's appearance and functionality. The handle looks small but it works perfectly. The lid has a very tight seal - I've been able to take this on road trips and the beer inside is always stays fresh!
