lasted 1 year 2 months aka 1 winter.
cellman2424•March 12, 2017
Stopped working mid winter this year. Not the cord since i have one from the unit that broke when i plugged the cord in and that tiny tab broke off. I put it in the end of the winter last year, now with 1 month of this winter left it stopped working. I tried the spare cord and nothing. The 1 year warranty is a joke because you use an item like this 6 months out of a year so unless you live in a place where you use it 12 months out of a year a one year warranty is a joke. Plus who wants to do this install each and every year? I would guess a garage would charge over 100 to put this on.
Didnt last

Died after a month on my 1999 Buick park avenue. Difficult to install as well, if your going to the trouble of draining coolant just to install this in the cramped quarters of your engine bay you might as well install a freeze plug style instead.
Well-built

This is a well-built heater and was easy to install on my tractor. I tested it after installation and it heated up very quickly. Our weather has been mostly above freezing this year, so I cannot comment on the durability. I am very pleased with the quality of materials, the connections and the ample power chord. I bought the smaller diameter one for my Suzuki mini-truck and, it too, works great.

I have put these on 5 diff cars over the years. This one was different. The plug design makes it so you need the strength of an ox to put it on. I made the mistake of trying to put the cord on after it was installed. I couldnt. My only option now is to take it back off and make sure the plug is on and IT HEATS UP before i put it back on. TY for the 1 plus hours of work i am going to have to do again.
