Nice shelf for the money, and real wood!

I bought one, put it together myself, and it wasn't difficult. I am old but had no problem-only six pieces, and a top- comes with screws and an allen wrench. Everything was there. I bought two more with no problem assembling them. They were incredibly inexpensive, but real wood. They were stained a medium dark cherry mahogany color, which went with either colonial type furniture or more modern. I have a lot of expensive furniture and books and these fit right in. Amazingly, these are real wood, not fiberboard! In all three bookshelves, everything was there, all hardware and parts. The product had a wide bottom shelf, a middle shelf, and a top, which can be used for more books, magazines, or display. The shelf is low but holds a lot. It's sturdy and has two supports at the back, although the back is open. It would be possible to add a backing if you are handy and want one, but it goes flat against the wall if not. For the price, this is a good buy in my opinion.

Unfortunately and kindly, my husband put this together before I saw it. It is described as having a walnut finish. I purchased it to go in my dining area with my other walnut furniture. It, however, should simply be described as red. Not even cherry, just red. In no way would this match walnut furniture. Since we already put it together and threw out the box, I assume we cannot return it. Other than that, it is sturdy and was not difficult to assemble. He said the pilot holes on the top we're difficult to find but they were there.

The color on this item is very nice and matches what I have already very well. It does hold what I need it to, weight and size-wise. I may need to shore it up to make sure that it doesn't get wonky along the way which I attribute to the open back. The poly shine on the piece is a bit light so I used some wood polish and it's worked out nicely.

Just received so these are initial observations. The item is really oily, most likely from the finish. Not a problem but annoying. The item isn't broken but some of the tack nails have broke so the X's wobble a little. I'm really bummed because we bought this trying to match the 5 tier espresso one we have from Target. It's definitely not as dark as the target one, more like dark cherry than espresso, and 5 tiers is misleading. The picture is accurate with 4 shelves. The 5th tier is the top. All in all, it will do until we replace it but I wouldn't recommend this book shelf unless it is something to get by but there's cheaper options at Walmart.
Overall what I expected, decent quality bookshelf.

This arrived on time and took about 45 minutes to assemble. None of my parts came damaged. I made sure to take my time and not force things. I knew this wasn't a top of the line bookshelf. I only had one issue during construction. One shelf cracked while screwing it in it seemed as if the hole drilled for the screwed to follow may have been crooked. I'm pleased with how it looks and holds my books. It's sturdy enough to hold my books weight but isn't rock solid so I am pleased they included brackets to anchor it to the wall.
