I just got this tach on the independent recommendation of 3 major printing press machine builders; in my opinion, there can be no higher endorsement. I noticed there were no reviews, not surprising since I'm sure all of those guys get them from McMaster Carr and not Amazon, and wanted to let the general public know that this is a favored product of professional industry. An alternative (the ExTech Pocket Tach) was suggested by some service techs if you do not need the precision the Shimpo offers since it is half the price and, well, pocket sized.
