First of all, the LNB I received wasn't this earlier model shown - it's the slightly narrower one with horizontal indentations running across it you see in some other listings, but that makes no difference from a connectivity standpoint. I believe what's shown in the listing is an ...R2 model, whereas the one received is an ...R5 (meaning "5th revision of the model, from my research). Installation could not be simpler - no tools required - and just by swapping out my old ...R2, I immediately picked up about 10% signal strength on my 99 satellite, so that's great. With luck it will also fix the dropouts I'd get in freezing weather which also seemed to be an issue with some of the earlier models... we'll see.

I didn't need 21 tuners but I was having some tuner trouble so I replaced my 13 tuner SWM with this 21 tuner SWM. Now, I think my problem is with some older coax cable but that is a lot harder to replace than the SWM LNB. If you need more than 13 tuners this is the way to go. Just swap it out and you are good to go.

Use with Directv Genie and Mini Genie receivers from house in motorhome. Use the LNB unit with an slimline dish (replaced older non SWM LNB with multiple output connectors) and a tripod setup to receive sat signal.

Will not slide completely into the arm of my OEM DirecTV dish. All the specs seem right; I was trying to replace a DirecTV SL3-SWM single-wire LNB, and except for the placement of the connector -- mine is exactly as pictured, but the one I received had the connector in "position 1" instead of "position 3" -- it looks identical. But it will not fit. I can't get it all the way down into the arm, not even close to getting the screws through the holes of the LNB. I even tried "polishing" around the neck of the LNB and inside the arm of my dish, but still no go.

I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because I could've probably sanded/polished it down enough to get it to go in. But that's just wrong. I have no idea (aside from poor tooling) why the one I received would be about 1/16-1/8" bigger than the one I was trying to replace, but it just won't work for me. Returned for refund.

Needed a replacement LNB, it was not that the old one was bad, but it did need an upgrade as mine only had one receiving device on it. It was simple to install, if only the re-positioning of the satellite would have been easier.

It turned out to a good thing that could not find signal though as had Directv send tech and they got it done quickly and install another stabilizing bar so the dish will not move around in the wind so much.

Glad that taking the risk that it would not work was worth the worry, great product.
