Worth the price.

I had one of these for years and lost it a little while ago. I bought a cheapo one here on Amazon and I would just say....don't do it. Just get the K&M. Anything K&M makes will not let you down, and will be the right tool for the job.
Study and inexpensive. Great Stand

There's not much to say, it's a great flute stand. Using a stand helps protect your instrument from rolling over and being possibly damaged. It also gives you a place to set your flute down during practice that isn't a bed or upholstered chair - the little fibers from fabric/upholstery can gunk up your key mechanisms over time. If you are particular about your headjoint and foot joint placement and/or practice a frequently, you may find it more convenient to just store your flute on a stand constantly. (But do get a dust cloth for it if that's the case.)
I have a silver Boehm style flute and an Irish flute and I find the stand convenient if I want to switch between the two while playing.
The other nice thing about using a stand is when you are done playing, the built up condensation can drain out.
This stand is very sturdy, and the three legs can be folded down if need be for transport. It's one of those things that just works, and it's a no-brainer. Buy it, you'll like it.

Flutastic!

Bought this for my daughter's first flute. Seems it encourages her more to practice since it's conveniently out, not put away, and not sitting on the bed or desk where it could get damaged. This product is petite, so it's not made for rough play, but it's not flimsy and cheaply made either. Highly recommend it.
Good Stand

This is a good stable stand. It does take a bit more footprint than the other stand I had but the quality is better.
Sturdy little flute stand

The stand works as advertised. It's sturdy, and folds up pretty small for travel. My only complaint is that sometimes it takes me two or three tries to get the little legs extended as far as they can go. It's entirely possible that that is user error. This is my first stand of this type. Once I get it set up, it works like a champ.
