No change at all

I have years of professional hair color training, not sure what went wrong here--but this did NOTHING to my super platinum hair. I mixed the correct amounts, left it on for the required time, and no change at all. Went and purchased a bottle at the beauty supply store, it worked great.
Too red.

I am disappointed in this Wella product. I have used Wella hair products for years. This toner gave me a reddish shade, which was unexpected. I had to re-dye my hair to get the red out. Everyone's hair is different, so maybe it is me and my hair, but this toner did not do as expected.
my hair was pretty golden, but it was still brassy

I have been slowly getting my hair from red/black to blonde. After using a plantium blonde, my hair was pretty golden, but it was still brassy. So I used this to try to take some of that out. It didn't alter my hair pretty much at all. I think I needed to have tried a T14 maybe, but this didn't work for me.
Works like a charm

I've been using this stuff for years, it always works the way I need it to and it's basically fool proof. You'd want to use #T14 if you have orange and yellow tones you're trying to get rid of. Your hair does have to be light enough for it to work, the darkest I've used it with was a 6N. At that shade of blonde it didn't lighten but it did tone out the orange. I use it with a 20 volume developer I get from Sally's. The ratio is one part toner to two parts developer. It almost becomes a jelly consistency when mixed. I have long hair and half the bottle seems to just be enough for my whole head. It turns purple both in the bowl and on your hair. Your hair needs to be damp so you can bleach it and go directly to toning, just be aware that right after bleaching your hair will be really porous and will process very quickly, like within a few minutes. You can always tone again if it didn't get all of the yellow and orange out. You'll want to check it every minute or so, so don't just think you should leave it on for the maximum
thirty minutes while watching TV or something. It will look very dark and purple on your head, but don't panic, the actual shade will appear once you rinse it out. This isn't permanent so you'll need to do it again whenever you feel your hair is getting too brassy. I've also used this right after using color oops and it worked just as well. If your hair doesn't seem to be taking any of the color, it's because you've over-bleached it and it needs protein. Put a protein filler (get it at Sally's) right in the bowl after you've mixed the toner and developer. This will fill in the missing protein while you color.
