Easy to install and works great.
Great Addition for Cold Weather (but a pain to install)
Raynman1969January 2, 2017
The good feedback is that this heater had my engine (2011 Tundra 5.7) at ~30deg when it was 2deg outside- I tested with one of those laser heat temp guns. Additionally, like other reviewers have reported, the truck gets up to operating temp much faster than before.

The less than good feedback (and this is on Toyota) is that it is a complete pain to get this thing plugged into place especially when it is all covered up in the gooey stuff you have to buy seperately. This might be easier for you if you don't have 4WD, but there really was no room to get this inserted (maybe big hands didn't help) and this took a good 45min of cussing and swearing.

Overall, worth it and I would gladly buy again and (gasp) install again on another vehicle.
A no-brainer for cold weather driving

Worked well for my 2013 scion xb. With my skinny arms and thick skin, I was able to install it without taking any parts out (not really recommended, but I was in a hurry).

I've only used this for one occasion so far. Temps got around -5°F for several hours. Left the heater plugged in overnight. In the morning, when air temp was still below zero, the coolant temp was around 60°F, and the car started beautifully, like on a nice autumn day. Warm up time was much reduced.

I used the recommended thermal grease to install.
Easy install block heater

I've been using this heater this winter so far. I knew going into it that it would not produce a lot of heat. However, I am happy that it does help my car with a little easier start up. The installation is easy, and there's a pocket in my block of my FJ that's just for that. The temps here are around 20 degrees usually in the morning. I would of preferred the heater that adheres to my oil pan, but my pan is oddly shaped, and I felt that wouldn't work, hence the ZeroStart. I think it helps, it's affordable, and a good option for my particular vehicle.

Item does not fit the 2011 Toyota Rav 4, even though it says it does. The issue is that there is an engine wiring harness in the way, and the unit is too long. It will install into the hole in the block, but you cannot then plug the end into the heater, there is just no room.
