I should have listened to other reviewers but I LOVE the huge backpack section so I went ahead and purchased two of them bc they were about 1/2 the price of the ones made by a different brand that are available at our local surf shop. I've since gone to look at those again and this chair's fabric is FAR inferior. The fabric frayed and stretched just like the many pictures shown after only ONE time to the beach and I only weigh 120 lbs. Thwy have gotten heavy use all summer as we live at the beach and neither have ripped all the way through so I guess it could be worse. Overall the craftsmanship is very crummy, the stitching is kind of crooked and the pouch on one is ripping off from the side because it wasn't stitched evenly. I'm just disappointed that I will have to be purchasing new ones by next summer.

I was worried about quality after reading some reviews, but I'm happy with the product. Yeah, the cup holder isn't perfect, but it holds a can or bottle well enough, it's a little slim (I doubt a big yeti cup would fit) and it's not rigid so isn't 100% stable, but my drink hasn't spilt. It's kind of a narrow frame, but I'm pretty average height and build for a woman, and I found it comfortable. The pouch, backpack straps and key clip are nice features, too. The canvas seems suitable--not super heavy duty though, and the seams were well sewn. I've only used it a couple of times, but I think it will last at least a few of years.

We live within walking distance to the beach, salt water etc., and use these chairs because of their backpack design and their high durability. The pouch is very handy to haul things like towels, drinks, lunch, etc. whatever you want. We have tried many, many other chairs over the years, chairs in this price range, and all of them broke within a month or so. While these chairs are steel, and they will rust eventually in salt conditions, the last set we had lasted us nearly 3 years! They are VERY heavy duty. I am 6 foot 250lbs and have never had any issues with them collapsing on me or otherwise, if that tells you anything. Very heavy gauge steel construction. For the price, they really don't get any better than this. Everything about these chairs is great in my opinion, very well thought out design, and I plan on ordering even more of them. As long as they keep the prices reasonable on them, and keep making them this same quality, I plan to buy them forever. Or at least until something even better comes along, and I can't think what that could be off hand ;)

Love the back pack makes it much easier to carry, but it's a bit heavy otherwise.

The first chair arrived without the pillow but Amazon replaced it, so understanding people aren't perfect, it's cool.
Close to the ground which is great for the beach. Very comfortable and easy to change the seat back to lay or sit. about 5 different settings. Very nice. The pillow was very comfortable and is removable. There are straps which make the chair a backpack, that is VERY handy. There is also a storage sac on the back of the chair so you can put your towel, or whatever you need to bring with you in your backpack. That's also very handy.
The drink holder on the front is useless. Unless you want to dump your drink on your feet, don't bother using it, there's no support to hold it upright, very poor design. but pretty funny to the unsuspecting chair stealer...
The first use of the chair yielded some visible issues on the fabric and seams. Where the back/seat of the chair meet, it's already pulling apart. The largest person that sat in the chair is 151 pounds. So I would keep that in mind. They should double up on the support in that area for a "deluxe" chair. The idea and basic design of the chair is great. The quality of the chair is just a low...ok..

I love this chair but I am very disappointed hat after one day of sitting in it the seam looks like it's pulling. I am 120 pounds so I know I'm not exceeding the weight limit. I'm going to see if I can exchange it.
