It works fine with Windows 10
Javier BorreroDecember 11, 2016
It works fine with Windows 10, it helps me a lot for doing my job as Field Customer Engineer. I am very happy with the purchse of this product.
Works great

One minor complaint - the blue light is piercing - put a piece of electrical tape over it.

I ordered 10 of these for the office. Every one of them has worked perfectly, whether with Macs or PCs.
On Macs, they've worked with Leopard through Mavericks.
On PC's, they've worked with XP through Windows 8.1 update 1.

I've used them with modems, networking gear, EMC SANs, etc. and the only problem that if I had a windows 7 guest in VMWare Fusion 6.0.2, the Mac wouldn't recognize it (and it wouldn't show up in the VM either). 6.0.3 resolves this.

It shows up as /dev/tty.usbserial-FTG4ZT12 on a mac.
I use it with screen or minicom
for 9600 8-N-1 (a lot of IT gear), I use
screen /dev/tty.usbserial-FTG4ZT12
WAS NOT FTDI. Don't buy!!!!!!!!
DannyJune 15, 2013
This device had a sticker on the package that stated it was FTDI but Windows 7 would not automatically work with it. I pulled up Device Manager and it said Prolific.
Wrong Chipset. Items received are PROLIFIC chipsets NOT the FTDI as described
Johnny TechApril 29, 2013
I ordered two of these as they were the FTDI chipset. These are PROLIFIC chipsets 0x2303/ 0x067b not FTDI hardware. This makes a huge difference if you are looking for a stable USB/Serial adapter on your OSX Mountain Lion machine.
Crappy Knockoff
Mike BrewerApril 2, 2013
First off the driver will never install and work, the cd that comes with it is an off the shelf burnable mini cd with a ton of .dll files none of which is the driver for the dongle. I understand it's cheap but come on I got my Targus for $25.00 and it works on everything. Save your money don't buy this product.
