My sister buys these shoes, so thought I would try them. I love them! So comfortable and great fit. So happy! And the kitty loves the new box!

Update: My sister who has this fancy black shoe came to visit and I see that I received the plain black, not the fancy black that I ordered! Returned first pair and second pair isn't fancy black either, even though that is what I ordered. Not changing stars. Shoes are good! 😞

I call these shoes my duck shoes. The toe is very wide, but necessary for comfort. I am not displeased because I have a couple of toes that don't play nice, so the extra width helps them. They are extremely well constructed & comfortable. I would have liked a bit more cushion in the insoles. Because of the width & weight, these shoes are not very attractive with skinny jeans or leggings. Alegria shoes are pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I love Alegria shoes. They're supportive, comfortable, and well made, and these Pesca fisherman's sandals are no exception. They surprised me a little out of the box as they seemed lighter in weight than any of my others and felt a little... flatter maybe? I wore them all day in the salon the first and second days though, and they were still supportive and very comfortable. Never touched the "rescue" ahoes. The *but* in the headline is because the order was for the black "fancy" finish, which looks embossed and somewhat shiny, but what arrived was the black "butter" style, which is neither flat nor super shiny. I'm actually A-OK with it, because I was debating between matte black and fancy, and chose the fancy only because I thought the matte would scuff easily and not look as good with some of my nicer work clothes. Kind of magical that I got an accidental compromise, but if you're counting on a particular finish yoh might have a problem

I tried on a more colorful Alegria shoe on in the mall, and could not see myself wearing or paying over $100 for a shoe I could only wear with some clothing. I found these color neutral shoes on clearance and decided to give them a try. OMG am I glad I did. The first time I wore them my feet felt better by the end of the day than they did when I started the day. I have been wearing them most days since I got them, and have since purchased a pair of Alegria sandals in black and I love them too. I have been wearing other very good supportive brand name orthopedic style shoes, and nothing has made my feet feel so good.

Construction of the shoe appears fine, but I returned them. Whether they are or not, they felt on me like a negative heel which I don't like. It did, however, provide very good arch support. Since on slipping them on, I immediately decided to return them, I did not walk in them, but had expected a spongier feel to the sole. It is firm and seems to provide lots of foot support. I have a slightly wide foot and was comfortable with the width at the toes, although I thought the toe box could be higher. Because of the good foot support, had the shoes been considerably less expensive, I would have kept them to see if breaking in would yield more comfort.

The size runs small in length. I got the 39 which said 9 - 9.5 on the box, and it *just* fit my size 9 feet, without socks. I sometimes wear size 8.5 (like in open sandals) and only wear a 9.5 when it's a shoe I wear with socks.
