Terrific buy! This was a gift for our preschool aged daughter. It was simple to put together out of the box and has been very sturdy in 6+ months of frequent (sometimes harsh) use.

Sturdy and well made, has a "real working feel", attractive to children but not garish. You get tired of something garish that feels intrusive in the room, and children tire of that too. The Hape feels good, feels "real" to children.

This Kitchen set will be an heirloom toy. My children love it. As do their cousins and friends. Effortless to assemble and for the children to use. Everyone from our 7 year old niece to our 20 month old daughter happily plays together. Any larger and our daughter wouldn't be able to reach the shelves. Even kneeling next to it or sitting as an adult is comfortable and fun to play with. Nice to have someone 'feeding' me for a change.

I adore this play kitchen, and my son loves it. It's really great quality, the doors open and close nicely, and the knobs actually turn. It's on the smaller side, which I like because it can fit nicely in my actual kitchen and it can easily be moved. I also like this company because they have high standards in terms of offgassing and not using toxic paints or adhesives.
