Loved this! I wanted a sandbox small enough that my son couldn't sit in because I didn't want to clean sandy buns every day. Perfect for sitting beside and reaching in. He loved that the lid came off and attached to the side as a ramp. He had plenty of trucks to go in it. Absolutely loved this product and would recommend to others with kids who don't want too much of a mess. The lid goes on secure so we didn't have any problems with creepy crawlies besides a few stray ear wigs. Easily spotted and scooped out because of the size. This is at his father's house now but I'm considering buying another for home.

I'm writing this review as I relax under the shade of a tree drinking my coffee that's still HOT. That's because this little sandbox is amazing and occupies my little guy for hours :) it is small- but he doesn't seem to mind digging from the outside. I think a friend or 2 could join him comfortably. We filled with a little less than 28 lbs of sand that we bought at Hone Depot for $10. We hid little dinosaurs at the bottom so every now and then he finds a "fossil" and gets really excited. Great investment!

My grandson loves it! It fits well on my daughter's small deck. They love the lid which keeps the sand dry and clean, which is nice with all the cats running around the neighborhood. The digger, tools, cups, truck and workers that come with it were a big hit. We poured in the sand and he was playing a few minutes later. This is not a sandbox that allows for kids to "get in" and play. Get a larger one if that's what you want. We placed an outdoor rug on the deck in front of it for him to sit on and play. He loves it and it is just right for a toddler, but also seems like he can use it for several years. I'm sure his little sister will love it when she gets a bit older. We got this for a gift and I'm very satisfied with the quality. I got some pretty good "grandma points" for it.

My kids have a hard time taking the lid off by themselves. Hell.. I have a hard time also. It needs to be carefully lifted and then slid from under the crane thing. But worst of all is what happens to this sandbox when it rains. There is a tiny channel for water to flow around the lid. It always ends up being clogged and the sandbox fills with water and turns into a swamp every time there is any meaningful amount of rain.

Perfect for our preschooler and smaller sized yard. We have had it for about a month and haven't had any issues with the digger. The lid doubles as the 2nd half of the ramp but it only has a lip on 3 sides so it can't be used for holding water and it leads to sand being "dumped" on the lid which then ends up pouring off the lid. We absolutely recommend it to anyone searching for a smaller, self contained sand box.
We purchased 75lbs of sand and only ended up putting 50lbs in- seems plenty full with the 50.
