I opted for a sealed enclosure as per specs of the manual. I have 1500 rms going to it. Needed the big 3 and h/o alternator, but......IT POUNDS!!! I actually loosened my windshield from the bass. It started to creak a little when i hit small bumps and finally cracked! Lol full glass on the insurance covered that! I listen to everything, rock, rap, dub, edm, jazz, blues, country....so thats why i went sealed. Tighter, cleaner sound, but still booms if cranked.
I would recommend if your looking for somthing that hits real hard

These subs are very powerful and sounded great in my Suburban. Both the 12" and the 15" are a must have. 160+ db at a competition.
