If you are buying a whistle for your toddler, this is one of the least annoying whistles out there. Don't get me wrong, still super annoying, but it could be worse.

I saw a wooden slide flute at the music related conference and it sounded beautiful and also fun, so I decided to buy one for my kid. But it does not make a good sound, I think air inside leaks a lot so its sound is not consistent. My kid does not like it.

Maybe there's a quality inconsistency but the one I received sounds surprisingly good. I've been looking for a cheap slide whistle with a good tone because I'm some kind of weirdo and believe it or not this was the coolest one I've bought so far.
It has a clean deep tone when blowing softly where most others are way too airy and by blowing hard it jumps to a higher pitch (probably at or around 2 octaves) and I've laughed hard at some of the dumb things I've played on it.
Sing along with some oldies and play the whistle between lyrics. You'll laugh your ass off.

If you look at the picture it makes look like there are different sizes, so I thought different notes. When they arrived there were ten of the same thing, I kept them. because I liked the sound of the one. I was pretty disappointed by the misleading picture of the jaws harp on the website!
