Easiest Dog Harness
R.S.X.✓ Verified Purchase•June 9, 2018
I used to use a collar on my dog, but I felt that I might be harming his neck so I moved to a harness. Trouble is, there are just so many dog harnesses out there, it is impossible to know what is best. Most seem like a puzzle for you and your dog to put on. After looking at lots of harnesses on line and in pet stores, I came across the EzyDog. This one is a snap. Adjust it one time to your dog, and it simply slips over the head and buckles around the waist. The one time adjustment does take a little doing "“ you have to pull back a rubber covering and adjust a Velcro band to fit the base of your dog's neck. And pay attention to the sizing information to choose if you need small, medium or large. But once adjusted, that's it "“ a few seconds to put it on and take it off easy as can be. This puts no pressure on his neck or his waist and we love it! He seems happy too.
EzyDog says it's not for my dog

This harness did not fit my dog. The buckle rested in her armpit and blocked her movement, and the strap cut into the backs of her legs. I emailed EzyDog and they said it was a fitting issue and asked for pictures. I sent them pictures of the harness on my dog and they said to just return it because it would not work for my dog at all.
The front strap is adjustable, but it doesn't get long enough to fit any dog in my neighborhood. I adjusted mine harness all the way out, and it still pulled the belly strap into her armpits. She has a 22" chest and EzyDog confirmed that the only size she could possibly wear was a medium. They said only a small percentage of dogs couldn't wear this harness, so I tried it on a few more dogs. My other dog has a 23" chest, and the fit was much worse. The top strap actually rode in front of her shoulders. Both of mine have very deep, narrow chests, so I tried it on my neighbor's wide terrier with the same result. Then I tried it on a friend's bulldog, same problem. So far the chest strap was too short for 4 out of 4 dogs.
Obviously I have to return the harness as EzyDog says there's no way it will fit comfortably. I have yet to find a dog that can wear it without chafing, so I'm having a hard time believing all the dogs on my block just happen to be part of the small percentage that can't wear this harness. I think the front strap is simply too short, I can't even imagine what sort of dog could wear this with that strap adjusted to anything less than the maximum!

clip broke

This is the second harness I've purchased. The first one was getting dirty and wouldn't clean up anymore so I got this one.
We have used it for less than 2 months and last night the clip under her chest broke and she almost got away. Needless to say
I'm very disappointed. This must have been defective because I still have the first one and we are using it today.
I would like to return it for a replacement even though it's past the return by date. 2 months seems much too little time to
use a dog harness before it breaks.

I love this harness! I purchased this in a size Small when my Shiba Inu pup was 7 months old, and at 9 months it still looks good and I can continue to adjust it as she grows. It sits perfectly around her chest and arms.
Other harnesses made her walk on a weird diagonal because the metal ring that you attach the leash to was stationary. However, this one moves side to side with your dog as he/she walks, so my pup now walks straight.
I also appreciate that this color harness signifies that she is a girl without being overly girly or primarily pink. It's not an embarrassing walk. Would highly recommend.

The harness seems to be constructed well and to be of good quality but it is not of use for my dog due to the fit. The horizontal strap across the front is adjustable with strong double velcro hidden under the neoprene cover but even on the longest length the manufacturer deems appropriate it causes the strap that goes around the dog's body to sit too close behind her front legs. She is a dachshund mix so her chest is large than most dogs with similar girth measurements. I like the looks of the harness very much and was disappointed. Dark brown is apparently not a common color for small dog harnesses and I looked quite a while before finding one. I do see how a dog could back out of it and for this reason I am giving it 3 star review. I purchased the harness from Animal Grace here on Amazon. They sent a very helpful email related to appropriate sizing as the harness is said to run small. The representative confirmed that I had chosen the correct size based on their experience before the harness was shipped. That service would be helpful to those purchasing. I can't yet comment on the service for returns as that process is not yet complete.
