Great, durable harness for your cockatiel

Avianweb did a great job with these harnesses. The large size fits my cockatiel very well. She resists putting the harness on a little bit even after a long training process, but once outside just loves it. My hope is that over time she will learn to love putting it on because she will associate it with going outside. My kit arrived missing the leash attachment but the nice folks at Avianweb sent me an additional one free of charge.

It was a little hard to use at first. Trying to get the belt through the loop the 2 time is not easy. It's so small. It's soft and looks small but the largest size fits my cockatiel just great! I still had to pull out her wing to get the belt around her. So I gave 4 stars only because it's not say to attach the belt through the buckle easy. That's very hard to do.

I like this harness. I don't have to worry about it injuring my bird's wings. As expected, he doesn't love it but he does like the new found freedom. Two things that could be improved are the way the strap around the body attaches but it is secure and soft to his fur. I would prefer snaps to a buckle. I also do not like the large attachment for the leash to harness. My cockatiel is too small for such a large clasp.
I love everything else about this harness. I feel confident I will not lose my bird outside and he will be comfortable in this. I am not yet anticipating using this for him to fly outside but to keep him safe with more freedom. Our home is big enough for him to fly.
