Works great but Wish it lasted longer. I would have needed three or four to really do my job right stripping old wrought iron. Would have got too expensive. Burned one up and gave up. Too bad. I just ended up stripping the worst areas that were actively flaking. Job was half assed, but the best I could do based on the time and pay involved. Review would be 5 star if it lasted longer or was a few bucks cheaper.

I used this on a small 6 ft by 6 ft "painted" deck/porch and two 3 ft wide steps, and despite what appeared to be 40 years of multiple paint layers, in the end it did the job. It was assisted by Bix liquid stripper, which allowed me to scrape away about half of the obnoxious thickness of paint I had to deal with, but this wheel ate the remainder with gusto! I used it on an 18V Dewalt Cut Off tool. This strip wheel lasted through countless Dewalt battery charges, split 50/50 between Dewalt 18V XRP and Dewalt 19V Lithium Ion batteries. I am ordering another for my toolbox so I have one ready for future projects.

The media could not be loaded. I learned about this product reading "The Family Handyman" magazine. I'm sure it works great on wood and regular paint. But I was excited to strip the paint to bare concrete. Well I guess my concrete paint is very very good because the wheel barely removed any paint. I used a wire wheel instead. Still there is some paint left but at least the surface is clean and rough for a new coat of concrete paint. Also, if you check my video, you'll see that the disk was half gone after only five minutes of use.

I started using these pads when the local Home Depot carried them. Some of the things I use them for are planing wood, cleaning up spills on concrete, removing the scale from swimming pool water-line tile, stripping paint or cleaning something up. I even use this pad to clean up my scrapers and drywall knives. I have tried using look-alike pads such as "Gator" brand with very poor results. These pads are a bit pricey, but they hold up for the duration of the job where the others fall apart quick. I use this pad so much that I have a dedicated grinder that it just stays on for quick use.

I repainted a 25 year old snow thrower with the help of these. Everyone seems to recommend flap disks, but they don't move paint and rust anywhere near as fast as these Norton disks.
They are also really good at putting an edge on an old tool. They grind off metal fast but not so fast that you end up with a ragged, rolled over edge.
Finally the life seems really good. I stripped the entire front end of the snow thrower and about 8 yard tools on a single disk, and that one disk still has 75% of its grit left. I'm ordering more now, just so I have it ready for later.
