Eight sections were just right...very easy to install with minimal tools. Our property is sloped so only one side of the pool was built into the lot about 18". The 8 sections worked perfectly for that side of the pool only [24' round]. The sides of the rest of the pool met the 4' ordinance in our county in South Carolina. Used the Confer Brand Ladder that came with the pool for an above ground pool since installation. We are having a deck installed on one of the open sides which attaches to the house. We ordered the Confer Brand conversion kit so the Ladder can be modified for deck access to the pool.
Lastly, we have an 8 ml. blue solar pool cover which floats on the pool when we are not using it. Keeps the pool at the end of August when the nights are 60 degrees at 86 degrees.
***WE FOUND THE BEST WAY TO STORE THE COVER WHEN USING THE POOL.... 4 LONG BUNJI CORDS!! We get in the pool [1 or 2 people] and start pushing the cover toward the pool fence. Once we reach it, the cover is wrapped in a long bunji cord and attached to the new pool fence. We then moved to another section of the gathered up pool cover and attached it to another section of the pool fence. We found four sections secure it well and four bunji cords do the trick!!!
