I purchased 2 of these lanterns and love them. I recently spent 8 nights camping at the shore and they worked flawlessly even after accidentally dropping one of them twice from a good distance. One I removed the frosted glove and hung it down from the camper roof outside and it gave off enough light on the soft white setting to sit at the picnic table and play cards. My daughter preferred the soft white ( yellow setting) and I noticed it didn't attract the bugs like the old lanterns did. I will never go back to the old Coleman gas lantern with the hassles of maintenance, heat and the high price of fuel . I highly recommend this is a great buy for the money.

I needed this for a very dark, very large storage unit. It works perfectly and I don't need any other light to work in the unit.
It is lightweight and appears to be well made.
It seems like it would be good for other uses such as camping, emergency lighting at home, to keep in the car for emergencies.
I would purchase again. I may purchase additional units.
No complaints or negatives.

Just got this great inexpensive lantern, very impressed. Installation of the batteries was easy and self explanatory.
The 3 lighting modes are nice and being able to steplessly dim in each mode was a big selling point for me.
The 4th mode (blinking) is a mode that I have no use for.
This lantern replaces another one that I ruined by leaving the batteries in for too long, live and learn!

Great little lantern!!! One thing that no one mentioned is that you can dim the latern by holding the button down. Actually buying another right now for a camping trip this weekend, because 2 of these lanterns are smaller than my other 1 huge lantern!!! Money well spent.

Nice bright light for camping and use in the room in the middle of the night. I have 3 kids and for those who have kids, you know how it is. Waking up a few times through out the night, this guy has helped alot. I don't have to get up and walk to turn on or off the light. I can reach over to my nightstand and use this guy instead. Great for power outs and camping as well. Very bright indeed! The only thing that gets difficult is twisting to close the cap on the bottom. It always takes me a few times to adjust and close this thing. Other than that, great little lantern.
