Awesome sharpening tool! takes the guess work out of sharpening or the need for the cumbersome guides that you have to move independantly.
Best Sharpener Ever!!!

This has to be the best way I have ever sharpened my Husqvarna chains. Once I used it the second time, I realized truely how to use it efficiently. My blade went from not cutting and scratching cedar, to taking big bites with just a couple passes. Once the file passed through the teeth smoothly, then I knew they were sharp and I moved on to the next tooth. Reversing the tool was tricky at first as the instructions do not fully explain well how to accomplish this. I suggest for all new people ordering to hold the file in your hand and then just push the ends over. This is the easiest way to open I have found. Also wear gloves, because you will get shards of metal in your fingers if your chain was bad like mine.
ALL I NEED TO KEEP FROM GOING DULL NOW..KEEP IT SHARP, AND YOU DONT HAVE TO "SHARPEN IT"

SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS YEARS AGO
Does a better job than any previous file sharpeners I've tried.

Just got this in the mail yesterday and went right out to try it on my Husqvarna 455 Rancher. I had not touched up my chain from the last use, so it was in need of a good sharpening. It took me a few minutes to get in to the proper rhythm, but after a few minutes I had it working smoothly and with few hiccups. The only problem I encountered with it is if you run the file clear to the end, when the guard bumps the chain it kept unlocking the round file and it would drop out of the holder and I'd have to realign and reinstall it before continuing. As part of the rhythm of sharpening I had to train myself to stop just short of the end of the file each time. With a little practice I had my chain sharper than I have ever managed free hand before. Add to that, my depth gauges get a precise height adjustment simultaneously. This unit is a little more inconvenient to switch from right to left, than the Pferd CS-X Chain Sharp Filing Guide. You have to unlock both the top and bottom of the handles and move the round and flat file to the opposite side before switching. With the Pferd CS-X you just turn the whole file over and keep going. You also pay twice as much for the Pferd too. For the small inconvenience of moving the files, I'll happily save the money. I plan on ordering another one of these in the smaller size to use on my smaller chain saws as well.
