First let me say I'm a frequent buyer on Amazon and rarely disappointed. The sword. Got it and right away I felt it was solid and sturdy. However I know little to nothing on good swords. Watched a few videos and found out how to take apart. And that's where the surprise came for 100$. Money well spent. It was almost a perfect full tang. No little piece of skinny metal underneath the handle. That is the main thing to look for in a good sword. With that being said I gave them a five star. The rest was all a bonus. As long as the sword is good you can always go from there.

Are you serious? For the money,I couldn't be happier!!! This is a beautiful uchigatana that is the real deal.Even includes the traditional cleaning kit and a protective sleeve!Now, to all you other live steel peeps out there...you really should know better than to go whacking on crap to see if it's "COMBAT READY'.Any steel will show marks of use.That is why we MAINTAIN the tools and weapons that we are the custodians of.A natural patina developed over time adds to the beauty of the piece.These weapons are individual,each one unique as a piece of an ancient artform that is still constantly evolving.Minor scratches or nicks ,etc...on an otherwise "perfect" piece is considered by many to be "wabi sabi" , and it adds an element of the ephemeral,inevitable passing of time.Very Zen. I have had many,many swords in my life, and have studied Iaido for twenty years. This blade...feels GOOD in my hands.I would place the utmost confidence in this particular sword.Fantastic,EXCEPT......when I drew it ,there was just an eeetsy beetsy smidge of oil on the blade.SHE WAS SUPER THIRSTY!!!! So oil em up babe!! And wow,she is a beauty.THANK YOU.

When I read some of the reviews, I was a bit skeptical of the quality, especially concerning the sharpness of the blade. But when I received my katana (a day earlier than expected, too!), I was pleasantly surprised. The sword is high quality. The manufacturer took great care in forging the blade, and the blade is very sharp. It even came with a cleaning and maintenence kit. My only complaint after having thoroughly tested and examined the sword and sheath is that it did not come with a whetstone.
Other than that, ignore the bad reviews. This sword is a great buy, especially for the price

I received my Samurai Sword on time and in excellent condition . When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was how heavy it was . This is a real sword not just a prop . It is beautifully made and very sharp.( Very sharp ) . I bought it to hang in my new office so I dont plan on using it , but it is nice to know it is there. Who knows maybe there will be a zombie invasion or at least an over zealous salesman , could be fun .

In a word: beautiful! This sword is far more than its price suggests it will be. I use it for Tai Chi Sword training. It's heft and balance ire spot on. I am a happy customer.
