Disclaimer - I don't have diabetes, so some of the information here doesn't affect me directly, but is more for full transparency...

I love stevia and leverage it more than any other sweetener, it holds a much lower risk than other sweeteners, health-wise. However, Stevia in the Raw has a filler - maltodextrin. Maltodextrin has a higher glycemic index than regular table sugar. So while it's true that this is likely a better alternative that pure sugar - maltodextrin itself is highly processed and refined and carries significant other risks, still tied to potential diabetic risks (and can lead to type 2 diabetes, itself).

So if you need a stevia-ONLY sweetener, you may want to consider an alternative brand such as Pyure, who does not use filler in their powder, or possible liquid extracts (also available from companies like Pyure) which may have other ingredients but are typically low-risk, such as citric acid.

Overall 4/5 because the taste and function is great. It dissolves well in both cold and hot liquids, and I've only baked with it once, but it turned out fine. The removal of the star is simply for the mis-leading branding and labeling.

Traveling only gets 3/5 stars because this would require re-packaging to travel with a smaller portion. For better travel, I'd recommend exploring either a fluid/extract, or the Stevia in the Raw brand individual packets.
