Backspring on one blade broke within 2 weeks. My wife was opening a plastic cover on a small product package. She applied minor amount of pressure and....SNAP!

For the price it's okay. The yellow "carbon fiber" has a noticable gap of about .5 mm all the way around the inlay in the handle. The handle pieces have gaps in the backing but for 20 something dollars it's okay. The knife came dull by actual standards of sharpness (won't push cut even printer paper, won't even slice it) though the AUS8 will take an acceptable edge and is a good steel for a folder of this type.

It's priced about right for what it is, nothing amazing, but pretty neat for what you get.

This is a "sharp" little knife in the literal and the figurative senses of the word. I've never to this point been disappointed in the quality of any camillus knife and this one is no different. Quality workmanship, sharp blades. The box it came in is a bit of a switch for a knife though. It's a wooden box with a form fitted foam interior. It has a sliding magnetic lid and is really neat. The woodwork is better quality than typical of "boxes" that come with most items. Kind of like the camillus knife itself, a cut above the competition. If you buy, I hope you are as happy with the purchase as I was and thanks for taking the time to read my review.

I have knives of all different breads due to Hobbies and Job from Art to US ARMY, It's rare that I use a knife like this style and this one is all style. The Custom Cut wooden box with magnetic sliding lid is a plus and at the Cost it made excellent gifts for some of my Aristocratic Intellectual friends. LOL,,, I keep one blade Style Yellow Jacket as a Pocket Knife. I still Carry my $375.00 SFOR fighting knife in an alternate pocket and I keep another in my ART Supplies box. When I look at the Knife and know that it comes from Japan, I think of the Quality of Japanese Sword Makers. I buy things a little different than most people.. Example, I buy knives from Japan, Watches from Germany, Electronics and Tech know logy from US. Whichever county has the best track record on a particular item, thats where I purchase it from. With this Knife and that theory I was not disappointed. I have bought several things from Camillius so far im still impressed with their products for Japanese Blades.
