I bought this because my piti (almost 13) who is having trouble jumping into the car. It's the perfect height to get her in easily and only took her using it once to get used to it. Just came to visit my daughter & now my piti is having trouble getting onto her platform bed. So I brought this up from the car and it's also the perfect height for the bed. Our Frenchie keeps launching herself off the couch, so I got this to try and save her spine. We have wood floors so stairs were sliding around too much in put some hot glue dots on the bottom, and no more sliding. Frenchie uses it when she remembers, but the steps seem a little small or too close together for her. She's a 25lb Frenchie, so she's on the small side. Good to know for people with medium dogs.

Long haired chihuahua went up and down stairs immediately. Pug took 4.5 months before she was fully comfortable going up the stairs but still jumps off the bed. She doesn't even attempt to go down the stairs. She is 5 lbs. overweight. She weighs 20 lbs. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. However, the stairs are great and now both dogs love them.
